Customer Review

Seems like a sturdy rack. Too bad it is warped in the center.

I inadvertently put a bottle of dish soap on the rack. Imagine my shock when the bottle slid onto the floor. Strangest thing I’ve ever seen. It
took me a couple of times to understand the problem ... The center of the rack is higher than the edges by just enough to make a difference. It's almost like it warped. A metal rack that warped?

Could Amazon shipping have somehow caused this? There are no obvious signs of damage but, unshockingly, the rack was just tossed in the Amazon box so who really knows. Warping doesn't seem like a shipping problem though. Storage problem? Maybe I suppose.

Regardless, I’m leery now. I’m not worried a heavy cast iron skillet will slip off but what if that dish soap was a not-so-heavy bowl of hot soup? Might be light enough to be a problem.

Happily, I only bought one rack as a trial before I buy a couple more. Sadly, it seems my research isn’t complete because I’m unlikely to buy more of these.

6/3/19: Just a quick note to say the owner of the Ultra Cuisine brand (Rosemary) sent me a very nice note apologizing for the problem, along with a replacement rack. Much appreciated! The replacement rack is very nice. I'd definitely buy another one like this. Bumping my review to four stars based on Rosemary taking the time to make this right. Nice to know excellent customer service is still a thing.
