Just replayed this over the summer after playing it on Xbone after its debut. The PC version is superior in terms of visuals and performance (to be expected). Most importantly, Rise of the Tomb Raider has wonderful game design and an incredibly strong sense of immersion. I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of the Tomb Raider series. In fact, I never finished a Tomb Raider game before. Rise of the Tomb Raider, however, just clicks on all levels. It's not only the best Tomb Raider game IMO, but it's one of the best games I have ever played since I first became a gamer in 1986.

Great Story Driven Game, Poor PC Optimization

The Rise of The Tomb Raider is a fantastic game even in 1080p or 1440p on PC. The story and the dialogue alone is what hooked me in the first Tomb Raider Reboot game and this does it even better. The only thing that kinda kills this game is the poor optimization since this a direct port from Xbox One to PC. the game runs fine in the starting with 70+ with a gtx 980 ti in 1080p & 1440p on ultra with FXAA with Triple Buffering but, when getting to the Soviet Installation and the Geothermal Valley the frame dip to the rare 20's to a shaky 60 to 50 fps at most. I haven't finished the whole game yet but, it is worth buying if you are a big Tomb Raider fan or like a immersive single-player story oriented game-play.

Great sequel to Tomb Raider and plays exactly the same as the earlier hit from a couple years ago. I mean exactly. This might as well be in the same world. Hell, it IS in the same world. For those of you who enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot, this is a perfect continuation. The upgrades are the same and the controls are the same. Tactics: the same. Play the first and you won't be disappointed by this. Like Grand Theft Auto, it just never gets old exploring forbidden places and making stealth kills. My highest recommendation.

By the way, where is the parasite eve remake, fans like me have waited for years...
