A.A. Pencil works as a school nurse at a special needs elementary school in NYC. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and currently lives there with her parents, grandparents and brother. She was diagnosed with Lupus upon her twentieth birthday and suffers from light sensitivity, chronic fatigue, general malaise, rashes and daily headaches. In 2014, she underwent seven rounds of chemotherapy for kidney disease. Writing and the steady support of those close to her have helped her to face these daily challenges and keep going on. A portion of the sales from her first book goes towards Lupus research in the hope of finding a cure for this horrible disease.
A.A. Pencil writes thrillers at the moment but hopes to venture into horror, YA fiction and children's fiction. Check out her website at aapencil.com for more information. Many thanks for the support! And yes...her last name really is 'Pencil'. =)
