Writing About Technology Through Fiction
His fascination with technology and media can be seen most in his fiction such as his science fiction series "The Lattice Trilogy" which is set seventy years in the future and focuses is about characters struggling with changing technology. He also podcasts at Media Carnivores with author Brent Hartinger, where they discuss news and trends in movies, TV, and books.
Helping Small (and Very Small) Nonprofits
Based on his years of nonprofit fundraising and leadership, Hanberg has published three books for small nonprofits about fundraising, social media, and effective board governance. He consults with boards and executive directors on governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and other nonprofit issues.
Hanberg lives in Tacoma, Washington, with his wife Mary and two children. He was elected in 2011 as a park commissioner on the park board of Tacoma.
