I have been looking for the sequel to Bringing Up the Bodies since reading it, more than a year ago. It was supposed to be the last book in a trilogy, but the ad for Bringing Up The Bodies says it is #2 of 2 books. Does that mean there will not be a book 3? If so, what a disappointment
As far as I know, the third book, The Mirror and the Light, is supposed to be published for release next year. Apparently Hilary Mantel was working on a book about Margaret Thatcher first. But fingers crossed that we finally get the third book in 2015!
We want Hilary Mantel to live long and prosper, so if she needs to take her time writing The Mirror and the Light, then give her mental space and respite from the demands of voracious fandom. Read all her other books---she's a living treasure. Looking forward to reading The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher:Stories [[ASIN:1627792104]
Now September of 2016 and still no date. Supposedly the draft for Mirror and the Light has been given to the film producers, but no other announcements. I can relate to Mantel juggling too many irons in the fire, but the repeated delays do tend to alienate many fans who move on to other interests. It is still on my personal "must buy" list, but I begin to wonder whether I'll live to see the day.
