Managing Family Vault Members

Prime members can add up to 5 people to their Family Vault. Everyone in the Family Vault you add can store unlimited photos, free.

You can only be a member of one Family Vault at a time, and two separate Family Vaults can’t be combined.

Send Invitations

To invite someone to your Family Vault from the Prime Photos website:

1. Go to Prime Photos and sign in (www.amazon.com/photos).
2. Select Family Vault on the left.
3. Select Invite Others toward the top center of the page. If you have multiple members in your Family Vault, you may need to scroll to the right of the profile photos of your Family Vault members to find the Invite button.
4. Enter the email address or phone number for whom you want to invite to your Family Vault.
5. Click Send Invitation. A message will pop up stating the invitation was successfully sent.

To add a member to the Family Vault from the Prime Photos app for Android or iOS:

1. Tap on Family icon on menu at the bottom of the screen.
2. Proceed with steps 3 through 5 above.

Invitees will receive an email and, using the link from the email, they can do one of the following:

1. Sign in to their existing Amazon account and join the family.
2. Establish an Amazon account and join the family.
3. Sign in using their new or existing Amazon account and decline the invitation.

Removing Members

The owner of the Family Vault can remove members of the Family Vault at any time. Invitees can only remove themselves from the Family Vault and can’t remove others from, or invite others to join, the Family Vault.

To remove a member from Family Vault from Prime Photos:

1. Click Your Name in upper right corner.
2. Select Family Settings.
3. Click X beside the name of the member you want to remove.
4. Check the two boxes.
5. Click Remove.

To remove yourself from a Family Vault, follow the instructions above and click on the X beside your own name.
