Learn to Use Alexa with Fire TV

Perform specific actions, and watch and listen to content on your Fire TV device with Alexa.

Compatible devices allow you to use your voice to activate Alexa.

Using Your Alexa Voice Remote

Hold down the VoiceVoice Button 
		  button and ask Alexa a question. She gives helpful information about topics related to your viewing or listening content.

Many features open in a separate display on your TV screen. To return to the previous screen, press the Back Back Button 
		  or HomeHome Button 
		  buttons on your Fire TV remote.

Control Amazon Fire TV with a Compatible Alexa-enabled Device

Use your voice to control features on your Fire TV by linking it to a compatible Alexa-enabled device in the Alexa app.

Manage Alexa Features and Privacy

Use the Alexa app on your compatible mobile device to manage settings for most Alexa features.

For Fire TV, press the Microphone On/Off button to deactivate the microphones. The microphones are disconnected from the power supply and the indicator lights up red to confirm that the microphones are switched off. Your device will not respond to the Activation word until you press the Microphone On/Off button again.
