Is your Kindle Fire connected to a wireless network?

Check the status of your wireless connection. If your Kindle Fire is not connected, you cannot shop, buy, download, or sync from your device.

From any screen, view the wireless indicators in the upper right corner of your Kindle Fire. The wireless indicator appears when in range of a trusted network.
Wireless Indicator Description

Your Kindle Fire is connected to a 4G LTE network. This may also say 4G, 3G, EDGE, or GPRS, depending on your current network coverage.

Your Kindle Fire is connected to a Wi-Fi network and has a strong signal.

Your Kindle Fire is connected to a Wi-Fi network and has a weak signal.

Your Kindle Fire is connected to Wi-Fi, but can't connect to the Internet. Your wireless network may require additional authentication (such as a password), or you may need to restart your router and Kindle Fire, before you can connect to the Internet.

If you don't see a wireless indicator in the upper right corner of your Kindle Fire, you'll need to connect your device to a wireless network.
