Which Fire TV Device Do I Have?

Otherwise, the update will install automatically the next time you restart your Fire TV, or after your device has been idle for more than 30 minutes.

New and Enhanced Features
  • Disable Automatic Volume Leveling for Different Sources - With automatic volume leveling, your Fire TV manages output volume so that the loudness is balanced regardless of the content. You can now disable this feature to boost the overall volume level and give you more direct control of loudness. This could also make loudness vary more between different content. To disable this feature, go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Audio > Advanced Audio > Volume Leveler.
  • Input Switching Improvements - Some TVs can’t switch directly to a specific input. For TVs that require multiple remote control button presses to scroll through inputs, you can cycle through the input choices by saying, "Alexa, switch inputs.” To teach your Fire TV Cube how your TV scrolls through inputs, go to Settings > Equipment Control > TV > Input Change Options.
