You can use the Fire TV Remote App as an alternate remote for your Fire TV device.
Before you can use the Fire TV Remote App, connect the mobile device you used to download the app to your compatible mobile device and pair it to your Fire TV device. To learn more, go to Download & Pair the Fire TV Remote App.
Navigation - To select an item, tap the touchpad. To move your selection, swipe from the middle of the touchpad in the direction you want to move. To scroll, swipe and hold.
Voice Interaction - Tap and hold the Voice button, drag downwards, then say what you're looking for. When you are done speaking, release the button. For additional information, go to Alexa on Fire TV.
Home - Tap to return to the Home screen. Tap and hold the Home button to launch the Quick Access menu from any screen. The Quick Access menu includes Settings, Sleep, and Mirroring options, as well as an Apps selection you can use to quickly open Your Apps & Channels.
Menu - Open more options, based on the content or screen currently selected.
Back - Return to the previous screen or action.
Play/pause - Start or stop playback.
Rewind - Press once to skip 10 seconds backward. Press and hold to continue navigating backward in the video. Additional presses allow you to cycle through available speed options.
Fast Forward - Press once to skip 10 seconds forward. Press and hold to continue navigating forward in the video. Additional presses allow you to cycle through available speed options.
Apps - View a fullscreen grid view of Your Apps & Channels within the Fire TV Remote App.
Keyboard - Enter text. This option may not be available within some third-party apps.
