Well, the 1.10.1 Kindle 4PC update fixed the Most Recent Sort bug introduced in the 1.10 update. It has not--on first review--fixed the other bug introduced in the 1.10 update: It still uses the generic blue cover thumbnail instead of a thumbnail generated from the book's cover for mobi files (they all showed up correctly in the pre-1.10 version).

Whenever you purchase Kindle content from Amazon.com, we store it for you inside of your account so that it's accessible from your devices. Once you install and register the Kindle for Mac app, you will be able to see those items in the Archived Items section of the app.

I found this great resource in our Help Pages that can guide you through this process also: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/?nodeId=200443830&#download

I hope this information helps!

It does not work even if I do what the Help Pages say. It worked one year ago but not anymore. Why? I have the kindle app for iMac, iPad and iPhone.

@Jerry - If the publisher has not disabled text-to-speech for a particular book, your Touch can read it aloud. You can listen or read, or both.

Instructions are here - http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_200728400_tts?nodeId=200729910#tts

[By the way, it's best to start a new thread when you have a question or issue that's unrelated to the current topic. Use the 'Ask a New Question' tab at the bottom.]

I am also on a iPad and want to remove a public domain book. It is on my iPad but does not show up in my account on Amazon on my computer. Any one have ideas on how to remove it?

Jerry:
this thread is about kindle for pc, which doesn't do text to speech. But for your question. If the book has text to speech enabled, and you are using your touch, yes, you can listen to it or read it.

I updated my Kindle for PC this week as was suggested when I opened my Kindle. My problem is, that now my Kindle will NOT download the books with the most recent books first, making it so that I have go thru my emails and search all the books by titles to put in their proper files. This is a nuisance, and wondered how I can correct this. I have rebooted computer and keep "syncing" but it will NOT put the books in order by recent. Thank you for taking time with this problem.

I'm having trouble downloading to both my Kindles...Basic unit & Kindle Fire. I have purchased titles and tried to download numerous times, but nothing happens. When I attempt to download thru my USB, it tells me the items have been send to the device, but nothing shows up on my the units. I'm at a loss to know what to do. In the past I've had no problems.

HELP !!!!!

I can understand that the kindle unit needs wifi to download books/ large files.
BUT,
if PC is connected to internet (wireless broadband), why does it need wifi for download.
My journals do not download to PC, but books (small ones) do.
