Fair Book/Fair dust jacket; red cloth with black and gilt; the book and jacket would both be very good but for a previous, and apparently brief exposure to moisture; a damp ripple affects the upper outside portion of the jacket, and the cloth has a corresponding ripple with some color fading to that area; the jacket is price clipped. Grading book and jacket as Fair due to damp -- there is no hint of mustiness or dark staining to the reverse of jacket. AUTHOR: Bassett, James. TITLE: Harm's Way. PUBLISHER: Cleveland, Ohio: World Publishing Company, 1962. 1st Edition, so stated, Hardbound, 8vo (about 8.5 inches tall), 510 pages. Tan endpapers. Description: Dust jacket design by Carl Smith; book design by Larry Kemp. A novel of the war in the Pacific as viewed from the fighting bridge. This was the basis for the 1965 Otto Preminger film starring John Wayne, Kirk Douglas and Patricia Neal.
