One of the greatest tragedies of trends of our time is the move from hard copy science books to online books for our grade school children. There is merit to being able to read text, see diagrams and photos, and read captions under the photos in a real book. Being able to use reference appendices, glossaries, tables of contents, etc. for gaining information is truly important. Part of the learning process is physical as well as intellectual. The turning of pages, seeing associations as you have to cross reference. All this is lost with the click of a mouse and having to open several different "windows" or be redirected to a new "page" on the computer to get a single concept.
This book is well worth the purchase for any parent who has a child whose grades might be slipping below what they normally are when they had actual textbooks at home.
