Tips to memory: Change your inflection on each word.
The Lord, not a lord, is my shepherd. And he is not a shepherd, he is my shepherd. He is preeminent, personal and protective.
These are the beattitudes not the doattitudes. Being comes before doing. The Ten Commandments have to do with actions and conduct, the beattitudes with attitudes.
God speaks to us through his word, we speak to him through prayer. Prayer is like a symphony, the Bible is the score, the Holy Spirit is the conductor and we are the instruments.
The Bible is a library of 66 books written over 1400 years from 40 authors from all walks of life, fishermen, prophets, kings, shepherds, doctors, rabbis. Yet it comes together with one theology, one plan of redemption and one theme.
We will never know peace internationally until we have peace on a national level. Then a state level. in our city. Never in our city until it comes to our street. This is impossible until it is on your block. It needs to be in your home. And in your heart. And this comes only by knowing the Prince of Peace.
