Kmiec & Presser have prepared an outstanding constitutional law text! Both are eminent scholars, and they engage students with the Constitution by presenting excepts from history, case law, and questions for discussion. Unlike many con law texts, they give due emphasis to the importance of the Declaration of Independence as part of America's organic law, and they give the religion clauses their due importance. Unlike many con law texts that just piece together some cases as though that was the Constitution, Kmiec and Presser impress on students the true meaning of the Constitution and its importance for the preservation of American freedom. I use it in teaching constitutional law classes, and I recommend it to others.

This book gives a great understanding of the philosophy underlying the American Constitution, the history of its development, and the subsequent cases interpreting the Constitution. A great read for any who wants to understand the legal issues surrounding the Constitution.

Book in general is in good condition consider the price, but i was disappointed that the company failed to disclose that the book spine would be coming apart. Basically its not even attached to the binding so it looks cheap. I don't know how else to describe it. It would have been better had I known that's the product I would be getting, I probably would have even still purchased it, but instead I'm left thinking "if i purchase from them again, what other mysterious condition will I get the book in"
