This is my 3rd digital tire gauge. I like it better than the others, which were the Accutire brand, because:

- Non-slip texture makes it easy to hold onto

- LED light makes it really easy to use in the dark

- Easily forms a seal with the valve stem to get an accurate read on the first try (this was my main gripe with other gauges I've used)

- Awesome price!

I'm not sure what else one would need from a tire gauge, so this one gets an A+.

**UPDATE** As of 6/18/2013, this thing is still working perfectly, even though I've dropped it a dozen times. Also still using the original battery. Others I've used seem to drain the battery, regardless of how often I use it. I'd mention the battery manufacturer, but I'd hate to be accused of working for Duracell--OOPS!

**2nd UPDATE** As of 8/7/2014 it still works great, and, no joke, STILL using the original battery.

Recently on a road trip I ran over a nail and I plugged it immediately but for some weird reason my TPMS wasn't lit and I then felt stupid for not having a tire gauge as there were no near by gas stations with air compressor to see how much of air I lost already. So I urge everyone to get one because you never know when you might need it.

About the product; the reading is spot-on with 30 second auto off feature, build quality is good and there is light on both the display and at the nozzle which will surely help at night, It would have been great if there is a separate light switch as I don't feel the need for it during day time.

It can gauge in 4 different metrics and remembers the previous setting.
PSI
Bar
kPa
kg/cm2

It runs on battery and seems like replaceable by unscrewing two screws at the back. It takes 1 CR 2032 for the display and 3 LR44 for the gauge to function. This should easily last of years.

One thing though, the PSI reading increments by .5 and this ain't a issue for me but it might concern others. I'm not pulling out a star for this as it does not affect me.

Over all I'm very much satisfied with the purchase and I'll be using it every week to just monitor the tire pressure.

I ordered this tire gauge because of the high reviews and being the number one seller in tire gauges. I have had it for a month now and it has lived up to the expectations. To turn on the gauge you just have to do one click of the button to have the screen light up. Then from there you just attach it to the tire to get the reading. Changing the readings is done simply by clicking through the button to which ever reading type you want. I have added pictures of me using it while checking the air in my car tire and the different readings it has. The screen is very bright and works great at night. I highly recommend this product for the great features it has & definitely for the low cost for a great tire gauge.

This little guy is fantastic. The biggest issue us motorcycle guys have is clearance when trying to use a pressure gauge.
The brakes and rotors and mounts are always in the way which makes it very hard to get a good seal.

The absolute BEST part about this device is how easy and solid the seal is. It makes a perfect seal and registers a pressure instantly.

Word of warning: pay close attention to what MODE this guy is in when reading pressure. It caught me off guard twice already by changing modes on me.
Modes change by holding down the button. So be careful and pay attention to the pressure mode indicated in the display next to the pressure readout.

The illumination is great and you can read the display even with polarized sunglasses on (unlike my iPhone). Even the tip is illuminated if it's dark out.

Highly recommend this product. I use it EVERY WEEK.

works perfectly so far. Gives reading same as or very close to that of tire repair station. Pressure even being at 40% of normal, does not provide you with accurate information by pure visual checking since even a normal tire may look a bit deflated if parked at specific angle and vise versa, semi-deflated tire may seem to be ok when, in fact, it is not. This gadget is easy to use. the hardest part is removing plastic cap from valve and getting your hands dirty. everything else - button push, display lights up in blue with 00-s on it, push the gauge against valve with nozzle and you get instant measurement. Recheck if you doubt or you suspect valve is damaged (leaking air may lead to inaccurate reading).

Battery popped out of holder, but other than that no problems, 2 screws to take apart. Works pretty well.

So far I like this gauge a lot. It seals to the valve easily. As far as I can tell, the reading is quite accurate -- to within a half pound PSI. Although the gauge indicates that it shows tenths, I have never seen it display anything except zero or .5, so I think that is its degree of accuracy. Two minor flaws keep it from getting 5 stars. First, quite often when I apply it to my tire, the display reading changes from PSI to bar, you can watch it happen. You can just push the button multiple times to change back to PSI, but it's a minor annoyance. Second, there is no button built into the casing to press the valve stem to let air out of the tire. You can tip it sideways, use your fingernail, whatever, but it's a small convenience most tire gauges have, don't see any reason to leave it off this one.

really easy to use digital tire pressure gauge, the TEKTON 5941 Digital Tire Gauge, 100 PSI makes checking your tire pressures quick and easy. I like to use my own gauge, rather than relying on the (frequentlty inaccurate) pressure guages at the gas station. I used to use a brass mechanical gauge, which was awkward to use. This TEKTON 5941 Digital Tire Gauge, 100 PSI is a snap to use, and being able to cycle to euro measurements (Bar, Kilopascals) makes life easier when filling tires on my euro vehicles which state pressures in Bar or kpa. It finds the reading easily, and the blue light makes it easy to find the valve in dim light. I'd like a larger display, but mustn't grumble as the price is excellent. No Jedi mind tricks here, this is the Tire Pressure Gauge you're looking for. Recommended.

I purchased this item from Amazon in August 2016. I used it for the first time one week ago. I needed to check the tire pressure on some trailer tires which should have been the same as on the truck tires, which was 40 psi. I had just had the truck tires mounted at that pressure by a tire shop, so I believed I could rely on their gauges. The trailer tires and truck tires were the same size. The trailer tires looked like they had the same pressure, but I wanted to be sure. When I measured the psi, it showed the trailer tires to have 30 psi. That didn't seem right, so I measured the pressure of the truck tires and they all measured 30 psi. I don't know if I was doing something wrong or if I have a defective gauge, but I am not going to use it again.

Update 5-15-17
I received an email from Tekton about a week ago and, as a result of that conversation, Tekton sent me another gauge. The new gauge seems to be quite accurate, and I appreciate the quality of their customer service. As a result, I increased the rating to 5 stars.

When a $10 device saves you $150+ from the dealer you know you have made a wise decision. My saga begins with a TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light staying on in my 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid.

The tires were all at the correct pressure, everything seemed fine...what then was the issue? I called the dealer and they said the TPMS needed to be reset and it would cost $150 plus taxes....not to mention I would need an appointment and have to leave the car for what should take all of 5 minutes. Naturally I began searching for a solution and found one....it was easy but required that all 4 tires be set to a specific pressure before beginning. I was using a pencil type gauge which, after receiving the Tekton, is in the garbage. The procedure for any of you Nissan or Infiniti owners is similar and thus I am linking it here: (http://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-installations-modifications/207490-reset-tpms-warning-by-yourself-for-free.html) -- The whole process takes 15-20 minutes, saves you a bundle....but requires an accurate gauge for tire pressure. The TEKTON worked flawlessly and I was able to complete the reset the FIRST time.....then filled up the tires and voila, my light is out, my tires are fine, and I am HAPPY.

AWESOME GAUGE, works PERFECTLY --- Highly recommended.
