I bought one copy to see how I liked magazines on my 7" Fire (1st generation). Viewing the whole page, it's nice and colorful with easy to read article titles. Lots of tables (CR's standard for comparing features, prices, reliability, etc. between brands) often can not be viewed completely on the screen when zoomed in. I'm hoping my 9" Fire HD will remedy that. Other than the zooming issue, print is clear and crisp and photos are even better than the paper version. Until I get my 9" (it's on my Christmas list), I will read from the 7" but for viewing the tables, nothing beats a full size monitor or computer screen. I can't confirm that buying a yearly subscription allows access to the magazine on my Fire AND the online site but I can't imagine why it wouldn't at $29-$30. Consumer Reports has lots of competition for reviews, even here on Amazon. The one thing CR has going for it, though, is the lack of bias. Most other review sites are impacted by ads or just random comments from consumers. CR tries to apply the scientific method when testing products. However, that by the very nature of time, is why CR's reviews are frequently for products that are no longer available. Products are revised and changed when the company knows of a problem that is going to be published as soon as it is financially viable so maybe CR works before we even know of it. Lastly, CR is entertaining. It's just not the last word on products and can still be influenced by opinions. It remains today an industry standard. Just look to view the classic tables on a larger screen that 7" or buy a paper copy.

When I first bought this Magazine....for my tablet, I gave it a bad review because it would not load up...
But, after I figured out what "I" did wrong... it works great... Not to mention, I have always love Consumer Reports
Just did not do it on a Tablet before,
I do apologize for such a quick let down. I just need to learn more about the electronic part of it all

It's one of the nicer magazines out there. Most electronic magsare text text only . this one includes pictures, althogh a bit grainy.
An electronic magazine should be as good or better than the original paper copy .who doesn't like glossy pages. This one does a pretty good job at it. Pictures are a bit grainy and text can be difficult to read.
The table of contents can frustrate me because it can be hard to read i expect to go to the article when clicking on it, not akways the case for me though. Not sure if some of these issues are kundle related or consumer reports. My guess is both. It seems good pictures are missing from books and magazines. The time will come someday when electronic mags wilbe great and cheap to produce. For now, consumer reports is a nice start, hopefully to improve.

Very informative. Touches on current issues/items of research. Practical and easy read. The issues also arrive on time with no problems for download.

I always like the April car issue of Consumer Reports. I have used it in the past to purchase my automobiles. The only complaint I have is that the magazine reading view and the rating charts of the cars are small and a little difficult to go through on the Kindle Fire. I have used the alternate view to read the articles.

Easy to read. I bought this one special because of the grocery store list and pesticide article.

What can anyone say about consumer reports? It's a valuable tool for anyone looking to purchase just about anything! No ads, no favoritism!

Bought single issue for cell phone review. I was looking for a definitive recommendation. Good as an overview but not clear cut In recommendation and single winner of a comparison roundup

I always learn something from Consumer Reports. This one I bought for the olive oil which is a maze. It was very helpful. CR clarifies all kinds of issues for me. They tackle what I am confused about and help me out.

I didn't buy a subscription to CR, but I buy different issues that appeal to me because of their feature products. But by the issue or by subscription CR gives a leg up on many of the products we all need and gives solid and dependable information based on their own testing. I work as an Internet Service Provider and so I was interested in what this issue had to say about privacy, and found it credible and informative, reaffirming risks I was aware of and informing me of some I wasn't. Much better than the online reviews out there, often skewed with bogus postings or based on irrelevant biases, Consumer Reports remains a solid provider of information on the things we buy.
