I received this item in the mail ahead of Memorial Day Weekend where we planned on having some guests at a barbecue. The item was in good shape upon arrival. It was easy to put together by just looking at the picture on the box. We started playing and within 10 minutes one of the knots came undone and the gold ball fell out. It took some fine threading to get it back through the hole and then we re-tied it.
After two days of playing, someone threw a toss that landed on the lower blue rung and the piping just broke in half. It wasn't a hard throw and the set hadn't been through any rough play. This was simply typical use (and not that much of it). I wrote Amazon and was hopeful that they could simply send me a blue rung, but they have to replace the entire item. I like the item otherwise so I will go ahead with the replacement, but I am giving it 3 stars because of durability and inconvenience with having to return the item after such a short period of time. I hope the replacement set works out better.

We bought this for a party reception to keep the kids busy, and now we're using it as an easy lawn game. Fun.
This unit is sturdy and never falls down when in use. Packing up at the reception we lost a piece, very frustrating. I emailed GoSports to see if I could get it replaced. They replied within hours and shipped the piece out the next day. Quite impressive.

The middle bar broke in half on the 3rd toss. We had to duck tape it up to continue playing, then the top one broke during the second game. I owned this thing for about 5 hours before all this happened. I would recommend looking for a different ladder ball game. :( What a waste of money.
UPDATE: Seller contacted me about broken piece and sent me a brand new one a few weeks later at no charge. GREAT customer service and have had no problems with the new product. They apologized profusely and fixed the problem, for that I will give them 4 stars.

All metal top bars with heavy duty PVC uprights. Great sturdy string and real golf balls, making the game far more challenging that the ping pong/thread cheapo type games. Handy sturdy carry case/handle!

I purchased this ladder toss game specifically for my two nephews - ages 9 and 7. I wasn't sure about the sturdiness or the ability for the ladders to stay upright but I'm happy to say that we've had no problems.
Setup is a breeze. I actually had the nephews put it together because it's so intuitive. It does come with clear directions on assembly and how to play. The components are all plastic but it seems to be a pretty strong PVC type of plastic. Nothing cracked when we were putting it together or has since we've been playing on it. The game goes together and comes apart in about two minutes and the storage bag is nice to just put it on a shelf when not in use.
The game is stable. I had these about 25 feet apart on lawn grass. Neither one tipped over or even looked like it was going to tip over when we were playing it. These are two pretty physical boys who toss pretty hard so that is saying something. The bolos are regulation golf balls tied with a strong cord. We've played for at least 3 hours with this game and the bolos don't look like they're coming apart anytime soon.
This kept my nephews enthralled for a good long while outside. I also played it and had a good time. Adults can play this with no problem (it's not a "miniature" version for kids or anything).

I rated this earlier at 5 stars. But I down headed it to 4 because the plastic (not strong as PVC in hardware stores) the red rail snapped in half. I think the golf balls but it pretty hard and it just snapped. We still p be the game will replace parts as their break with heavy duty PVC..It's easy to do. Sadly, we won't have the colorful pipes unless I break down and spray paint them with plastic spray paint.. 😀I likely will.. So although this is a flaw in design materials, it's really fun. We are still fans. I first played this game in a group RV trip to the desert.. I was looking for a lawn game and found it here in Amazon. It's been a lot of fun, easy to set up and transport. Friends and family gave it a thumbs up. I'd highly recommend it. We also like the Corn hole bean bag game..a lot like horseshoes, but with bean bags.

When I was putting them together one of the plastic connecters cracked. I was willing to overlook that and I figured I would glue that piece. Well within a few minutes of use several pieces had cracked. At this point I figured I would pick up some pieces at Menards to replace the broken parts. Well of course these are not standard sizes so that is not possible. I didn't want to waste money buying a cheap $20 set but I might as well have.

We purchased this for our dad for Fathers Day- we love it! It is such a fun game-❤️. The quality is a huge disappointment, we have probably only used it 12 times and the plastic is already breaking! I am amazed that considering how expensive it is that it isn't more durable- like you should be able to play it for longer than one summer! We don't have little kids- they are all big and understand how to be careful with things. Any breakage was due to regular play!!!!😩😩😩

Purchased this for backyard or camping ventures. It was very easy to assemble, I love the travel bag it came in. It was also very easy to assemble. The problem is the FIRST day we played it, one of the yellow rungs snapped in two. We had to duct tape it back together. Yes it is just pvc pipe, but I think it should have held up better than one day of playing. Very fun game, nice game design but it needs thicker pvc or a different material.
