These worked great the first time I used them on my new f150. However the second time they started to degrade rapidly. I'm sure they'd work better on tires that did not have raised lettering. Luckily they're cheap enough to rebuy, but still unfortunate.

Seemingly good quality tire protectant applicator. Most of these products seem to come apart after using a few times. So far, I have applied to my wife's SUV once, and my trucks tires twice and my truck has raised lettering on them. Its very easy to apply a shine application to the tire with out getting it all over your hands. Simply spray the tire, spread with applicator and your done. Cleaning it is very easy by just spraying it off and gently squeezing to get dirt and water off. It puts a nice shine on the tire as it spreads the protectant evenly and neatly. This beats using a sponge or paper towel and is very easy and quick to use. If you shine your tires, you need this!

I love these things. They're relatively cheap and I have never encountered a better tire shine applicator. Once you get used to angling them close to the ground and on thinner tires you can cover a tire evenly in seconds with minimal to no spillover on the wheel. Even then it's a simple fix if you miss a little. They have made my application of tire shine better and more effortless than I imagined possible.

If you detail cars a lot, you want an applicator specifically for the tire dressing. This holds a complete charge of rubber dressing for doing a single tire. The wavy surface help you distribute the dressing around raised lettering and other obstacles, while preventing the dressing from dripping onto the rim.

I am obsessed with keeping my car clean with a mirror finish. I have tried everything worth trying and this is as good if not better than anything I've used. I look for ease of application and efficiency. Good absorption, nice, wide full coverage. I'll be using these babies for a while. Tip: for anyone looking for the best wet shine that lasts a week, check out "Meguiar's Gold Class High Gloss Tire Protectant Gel (16 oz.)" . I get compliments every single time I go somewhere. It is perfect to use with this applicator.

The ones I got were curved on one side with curved surface smooth....not grooved like these pics show. They seem to last for at least 6-7 uses and still going. Solid product. Great for applying VRP to tires. The ones I got (ACC - 300 - 2) Same # as these were not as pictured. They did not have zig zag lines. They were smooth and contoured to fit a small to medium car tire. I hope they have not changed to the ones pictured here. I even have the pop up that says you purchased this item on (the date I purchased them) If changed since 6/27/15 I don't know how much different they will be. Mine work great with the curve and flat surface work fine.

Very rugged and dependable spunges, the first day we did four SUVs with knobbie tires and they held up like Kevlar armor. Very happy and satisfied with their ability to bring stained knobbies back to new looking condition paired with Chemical Guys products. I now have performed a re-buy after learning the importance of cleaning the sponges thoroughly after each use.

NOT GOOD FOR MUD TIRES. I loved the old "curved" style CG tire shine applicator. This new style seems better fit for standard street tires than off road tired with sidewall traction. The foam is too stiff to get in between the big lugs and excess pressure creates a tire shine "foam". Two stars because I can use it on my friends cars but I sure do miss the old curved ones

Over the years I've used different types of applicators for tire dressing and never been truly satisfied. I'd have to say this product is the best I've used so far. I'm one of those meticulous guys when it comes to by vehicles and recently took the plunge into serious detailing (new 2016 Tundra). Chemical Guys via reviews seem to have outstanding products so I thought I'd give them a try. So far I'm very impressed... but I digress. Specific to this applicator I like the size for larger area of coverage and the overall construction is sturdy enough to be able to hold and apply your dressing without getting it on your hand(s). My only negative comment is that after doing one application of 4 tires, the application (black) side has begun to to degrade... but I have to clarify that I was using the applicator on large A/T tires with fairly aggressive side tread and it is 'foam' - I can't expect too much for what it is. I figure that I'll probably only get a couple uses out of each applicator under the conditions that I use it. If it were just a clean side wall (i.e., all season/passenger tire) I bet it would last for quite some time. Overall - due to the comfort and effectiveness of the application using this product, I'm sticking with it and will just order more as needed (not excessively expensive). I'd recommend giving it a try and for a small cost you can make your own determination without being out much $.
