 INSIDE THE BOX
Inside the box you'll find…

• 1 x Nulaxy wireless bluetooth FM transmitter
• 1 x User guide
• And 1 x 3.5mm cable

CLOSER LOOK AT THE  PRODUCT
The Nulaxy wireless transmitter is made out of plastic, so it's light weight. On the right side of the unit you'll find a 3.5mm insert and an TF card slot. Attached to the back is a plastic flex tub that allows you to bend and adjust the position of the unit in any direction. The end piece is the cigerrette lighter adapter that plugs into your cigerette lighter. Attached to the back of the cigerette lighter adapter you'll find a 5V/2.1A USB port.

On the front of the unit you have a 1.44inch back lit color display for navigating throughout the devices software interface. The channel plus and minus buttons allow you to set the the FM frequency of the device and the Next and previous buttons allow you to skip forward or go back to a previous track. When held down….the "next" button will also allow you to switch between your bluetooth connected source and the TF card slot source. The dial knob turns your volume up and down and functions as the pause button when pressed in.

SETTING UP AND CONNECTING
Setting up the Nulaxy Wireless Bluetooth transmitter with my cell phone was pretty simple. Simply plug it into your cigarette lighter port and you'll notice that the led light on the knob will flash. This indicates that the device is ready to be paired. On your portable device, navigate to your bluetooth settings, find the KM18 source in your list of devices and connect. That's it and it was that simple! The only other thing left to do is set the Nulaxy to a free open FM channel and then change your FM radio to that channel as well. After that you can play anything on your portable device and hear it through your car speaker system without wires! You can even take and make phone calls using your car speaker system as a speaker intercom.

So for those of you who drive older cars and even newer cars that don't come with those added bluetooth wireless media features. This product might come in very handy for you. Now before run off and add one of these to your amazon cart, let's talk about my overall experience. The good, the bad and the ugly.

MY EXPERIENCE

THE CONS
○ First off, one of the things annoying for me was the sound quality when transmitting to an FM frequency. Let me mention this as a disclaimer. Not everyone will experience this issue. It depends on the quality of your vehicle's stereo "grounding" and the intensity of FM interference in your area. However for me, I still get a little static in my audio when listening wirelessly via FM. There were a few occasions where switching the FM station to another frequency helped out, but it wasn’t 100%. At times, I could still hear a little static here and there.

Now the alternative around this would be to use the 3.5mm port. So if your car stereo has a 3.5mm auxiliary port, you can simply plug one end into the Nulaxy and the other end into your car stereo port. This would eliminate ALL FM interference.

○ My second gripe is there's no way to power off this thing unless you unplug it. When I turn off my car and get out, the unit will remain powered on if still plugged up. So every time I'm done using this, I have to unplug it and put it away. Then when I'm ready to use it again, I have to get it out and plug it back in. Not really a deal breaker but a little bit of a hassle. I feel like it would be more ideal if you could just simply power this thing off and on whenever needed. That way it can remain in the cigarette lighter port in an off or on status. That being said, there are more convenient and positive points on this product then there are gripes.

THE PRO'S
○ One of the things I think is REALLY useful is the Once paired, always paired Bluetooth connectivity. In other words, you pair this once and it will automatically pair for you in the future.

○ Also, believe it or not…but this thing has a caller ID feature. So if it's paired with your phone and you receive a phone call while listening to music, that phone number will pop up on the Nulaxy screen. Now that's pretty convenient!

○ Being able to take hands-free phone calls in the cabin of your vehicle is one of those Luxury conveniences offered as a feature in this unit. When a call comes in, simply press the center knob once to accept it or hold it down to reject it. There's also a tiny microphone on the front of the Nulaxy that allows you to speak to the person your talking to without having to hold your phone handset.

So all in all, what this device was designed to do, it does it very well. For those of you wanting wireless streaming capabilities and hands free phone calls in your vehicle, this is the device that will do it. I think it's worth money. That's why I bought two!

I am very happy with this product. Very clear music no static. Here is my setup that is working excellent.

Plugged in and turned my phone (HTC One) bluetooth on and it didn't see the device. Held down the large volume button on this device for a couple seconds and it popped up on my phone and connected.

Match radio station with the frequency on device and browse until you find station with the least amount of static while your music isn't playing and your stereo is turned up. (Most come through with close to the same static, but some are less than others.)

Turn volume on phone all the way up, turn the Nulaxy volume to 23 to 25, and for my radio I do about 30 to 35 for volume depending on the song. ( I like my music loud.)

Bass sounds better than ever.

Before I was using a wired FM transmitter and had to put my bass up at +5 on the stereo. Now I turned my bass down to 0 and it's amazing very clear very nice. Treble is at +5.

I am using Google Play Music and the next button does work to skip tracks and the large volume button does play/pause when depressed.

I love not having a wire anymore and just using bluetooth. Received a call and it showed the phone number, not the name saved in my phone. Pressed the large volume button to answer. My girlfriend said my voice came through pretty loud, but clear and that it sounded like me not muffled and no distortion or anything like that.

OVERALL: Very satisfied. Highly recommend.

Definitely keep phone volume all the way up, Nulaxy volume around 23 to 25 never all the way up, and you can fine tune to your system using the stereo volume with the Nulaxy volume and your bass and treble.

We just received this product and it works pretty well with clear sound both streaming music and hands free calling. We've only had it for a couple of days so too early to speak to longevity of the product but it appears to be built well and operates as describes with our Phone's pairing right up when plugged into the lighter to power on the unit. Setting the FM transmission station was easy and the pairing operation was instant for our iPhone's without any issue.

I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars just because of my one con on this product. The only con I have at this point is there isn't a physical on/off switch to turn this unit off so you have to manually pull it out of the lighter or it will drain your battery overnight while the Bluetooth transmitter continues to work. If you car has a switched lighter outlet that turns off with the ignition you will be fine but most late model cars the lighter outlet is 12VDC constant which means this unit will continue to run, which we learned the hardware on one of our vehicles. That is the only flaw we have with it and we wish it would have a flip switch or something to turn it off but I suppose that is the same as pulling it in and out of the light plug-in. Just with the nice flexible design it would be nice to leave it plugged into the outlet and simply flip it on/off via a switch versus the wear and tear of pulling it in and out of the outlet. This might be minor to some but just an inconvenience to me as a user plus if you forget to pull it out of the outlet and it runs the battery dead that could leave you stranded! Luckily when we had this in our late model vehicle with non-switched lighter outlets it was at home when it ran the battery dead. Now that we know this will not shutoff automatically and no switch we simply pull it out of the outlet, to avoid this issue.

We may update this review once we utilize the product a little more so that we can report on the longevity of the product. We just wanted to posted about our experience at this point. Again appears to be a fairly solid built product.

I have used this item for over a month now and I would strongly recommend it. Not only does it feel quality but it reliably syncs with my iPhone 5S and would likely work as well with any other device. The FM radio transmission also works well and provides quality audio with no static, however ensure that the volume is turned up all the way on your phone. This way your car radio can be reduced to a lower level and I have found that this to eliminates static. I have not tried the AUX cable functionality as my car isn't equipped with an aux port. Overall, I would suggest this to anyone who needs to sync their phone with their car radio.

I love this thing. I put it in my service van and then showed a couple of my coworkers. They had me order them one as well! These work perfectly. They are powerful enough to overpower any of the local stations, so it doesn't matter what channel I set it to. There is one problem though. After about two weeks of use, it somehow decided to change languages on me. It is now speaking Japanese. Not a big deal, but nothing was changed...it just happened. The only speaking it does is "waiting to pair" and "device paired", or something like that. I wish there were language directions in the manual, but there aren't.

I can not say enough good things about this product! This little guy has been a life saver for my husband and I. We have always used fm transmitters in the past but this one exceeded our expectations. It sounds like you have a CD in its so quiet and has no static interference coming in. It instantly pares you with your phone when you get in and out of the car. You can pause your music by pushing in the little center button, adjust your volume with the nob, skip songs on Pandora, answer phone calls hands free, you can see it in the dark because it lights up and has a crystal clear screen.
It charges my phone quickly and is so easy to use.
This product has made my life so much easier! I'm grateful for all of the other reviewers that were on here. I figured it didn't have 5 stars by over 1000 people for nothing.
It really is exactly what I was looking for! I still have to try out the micro SD chip slot but if it performs anything like the rest of the product I'm sure I'm gonna be stoked.
In short, If you are looking for a Bluetooth adapter that is also an FM transmitter this is your guy. Simple, easy to use and makes you feel like you have an awesome sound system in an older car. Both me and my husband are very pleased with the quality of this product and also the fact that it is flexible enough to fit wherever you might need to stick it.

I have an older car with no Bluetooth features, which does not allow me to play music from my phone on the car speakers. This was resolved when I purchased this little handy device which allows my phone to connect to it via Bluetooth and then through a specific FM frequency, my car stereo picks up the audio, with great FM quality, it sounds as good as playing a CD on the stereo.
This device is like my own personal high quality radio station to play anything I have on my phone, and thanks to its integrated microphone, I can also use Android Audio (for when driving) to use cool features by just saying "OK Google" +Command, such as navigation, send/read text messages, make/receive phone calls, play music.
This is a great product, I recommend to anyone who has no Bluetooth in their car and want a wireless transceiver to do so.

This is simply TOO COOL and functional for words. First it is extremely intuitive (didn't even have to read the manual...just looked at the quick start guide which showed what each button does). And, as important, it is much safer to use, while driving, versus fumbling around on your smartphone or iPod/iPad, when playing music on your car stereo (more on that, below). I have several older model vehicles which do not have Bluetooth and this solves a huge problem, elegantly and simply.

When I am driving on the highway, I use my iPad Air 2 for music, with all of my iTunes playlists loaded onto it. Getting that music into my car's sound system was not possible, before I found this wonderful device. First I plug the Nulaxy into the car's accessory plug-in, which turns it on automatically. Then, I turn on the iPad (or any smartphone with Bluetooth) and ask for it to "find" and "pair" with other devices, at which time it finds the Nulaxy automatically (when the Nulaxy is plugged in and "on"). Then open iTunes or other music player on your device and start up a song. Then go to the Nulaxy and use the upper two buttons above the "dial knob", to go up or down the FM station selections to find a clear signal where you can hear the music playing from your device. And you are done with that "launch" step.

Here is where this device is so much safer to use than fumbling with your music player device.

A) If you want to mute, for an incoming call, you simply push the illuminated blue button in the center of the dial, which automatically pauses the song that is playing on your device, to allow silence for taking a phone call or other reasons needing silence. You can also put the phone call into your car stereo system with a couple of button pushes. And you can recall the last number dialed with a couple of button pushes on the center dial. And when you are done, just push the center button again and it goes back to playing music where you left off.

B) Push the forward and reverse buttons without taking your eyes off the road, to advance to the next song, or go back.

C) Turn up the volume by spinning the round dial (just like you would on your car's stereo dash controls). Or, alternately, use the volume up or down buttons, which flank the round dial that does the same thing. I use the round dial instead of the car's volume control because I first turn up my music player device to close to 100% for the best sound transmission and then use the Nulaxy volume control to go up or down. I found this to be the best mix for optimum sound. Although, if desired, you can still use your car's audio system dials for volume. Multiple options for the safest mode for your needs.

D) And a great feature which covers all the bases...let's say you have a music player that does not have Bluetooth (maybe an old ipod, or a cassette player or whatever) and you want to get the music from your device onto your car audio system using the Nulaxy. The Nulaxy has a 3.5mm stereo mini plug port on the side of the unit that allows you to run a simple stereo cord from the headphone jack on your player, into the Nulaxy, which then transmits the signal to an FM station on your car stereo. Good engineering to be the most user friendly and feature rich.

E) There is also a TF Card port on the side of the unit, which allows you to use a TF Card or Micro SD card in the Nulaxy. I have not used this feature so I can't comment on its usefulness.

F) And the last feature worth mentioning is that there is a USB charging port on the back side of the part that plugs into the accessory outlet of your car (cigarette lighter style port). So you can plug your device into this to keep it charged while driving and using the Nulaxy. Great for extended periods in which you want to conserve battery on your smartphone or player. CAUTION though, which most people may already know. You probably do not want to use your cigarette lighter port (if you have a dual port..one for accessories and one for a cigarette lighter), because if you plug anything into a cigarette lighter port, for an extended time, it will cause that port to overheat and possibly cause damage to the wiring and/or your device plug. I made that mistake at one time and plugged something into the cigarette lighter to charge, while I was using the alternate accessory port for the Nulaxy. After about 20 minutes, I reached up to control something on the radio panel and noticed that entire area of my dashboard felt very hot to the touch and would have probably short circuited or started a fire, had I not discovered the over heating by accident. So be careful with this potential hazard.

All in all this is a fantastic little unit, which works extremely well and is very user friendly with all of the features one could possible think of, for mobile music linked to your car stereo. I plan on buying a second one to keep in my powerboat and for use in other vehicles.

I purchased the Nulaxy Bluetooth FM transmitter to replace a $5 auxiliary FM transmitter I had been using. I was looking for a transmitter that had bluetooth as well as an auxiliary port and some sort of screen,. After using this product for several weeks, I found it to exceed my expectations. I worked a job where I was driving about 2 hours a day and now I have a 9+ hour drive to and from school during holiday breaks where this has saved me.

What I like most about this product is the versatility of how music can be played. I usually connect my phone through bluetooth, but for older devices such as my 4th gen iPod nano, the auxiliary port is just as good. This also means you can keep your device connected through bluetooth and have a passenger play their music using the aux cord and not have to reconnect. The FM transmitter also has a microSD slot. I was able to put multiple albums onto one microSD card and play it with ease. The only negative to this is there is no selecting albums, so I have to skip each song individually. However, being able to put multiple songs per SD card means I can theoretically have hundreds of albums in my glove box and just switch SD cards.

The screen was a major factor in my purchase as it displays the frequency, volume, and current song information, and it stays visible day or night. It also shows the battery voltage which would be useful if I didn't already have a voltage readout on my 12V outlet splitter. The screen also displays the file names of the music from my microSD card which is very helpful, but for some of my albums I will need to rename the tracks so I can easily read the name of the song.

The controls include a volume knob which is also a pause button that will pause music from any of the various sources. You can make calls from this knob, but in my experience the other person has trouble with feedback or hearing speech, so I rarely use this feature. There are buttons for skipping through songs, but they do not allow you to fast forward or rewind through songs. The remaining two buttons are for frequency up and down.

Some other features include a USB charging port which I have yet to use since I have 5 others in my vehicle, but it should be convenient to others. The "stem" on this device is flexible, so it can be bent and adjusted to be out of the way but still visible. This product fits snug in the 12V outlet and I have yet had a problem with losing good contact.

One thing I did have trouble with was the device restating when my vehicle is started up. I understand why this happens, but when playing from an SD card, the track will restart and play from the beginning which isn't that much a problem but it is a small annoyance. This also meant if there is an SD card in but I am currently using bluetooth, the transmitter will reset and play from the SD card. I found taking the SD card out when I'm not using it fixes this problem.

Overall, I really enjoy this product. It is very simple to use and has multiple ways to play music. The USB port is useful for those who wish to charge their devices as well as listen to music. I would recommend this to a friend, just because it is relatively inexpensive versus other transmitters I have seen on Amazon.
