I work professionally as a mechanic, and had one of these for years. I also have a MILTON brand dual foot style, but i prefer this one.

After about 5 years of everyday abuse, I finally dropped it one too many times and bent the air gauge. I was distressed to see that my tool guy no longer stocked this style on the truck, so I decided to try to find one online. Thank you amazon prime, it was less than half price what i paid on the truck years ago.

I find that this style of inflator easier to hold on the valve stem and the gauge portion where you rear the psi is easy to read at a glance. No glass magnifier to crack, and the inflator tip holds up well to use hunderds of times a week, and no batteries to go dead.

Look no further, this is the one you want.

I am an automotive technician and I have to check tire pressure on every vehicle. I have had this gauge for around two weeks. As of now I have had no problems. I also cross referenced the accuracy of this gauge with a known good electronic gauge and it was spot on! I will update the review if I have any issues.

*Update: this inflator is now 2 psi off. I double check my gauge every week. I would recommend doing this if you decide to buy this gauge. Almost all cheaper style gauges go out of calibration, just make sure you have an electronic back up gauge to cross reference. I still use this and it is nice. No other issues.

Quality control issues. The valve mechanism isn't made with the necessary precision; mine barely allows air to flow when completely compressed. It works best when I pull the valve to about 4/5ths, so filling a tire becomes a slow and a bit of an art. Even then the airflow is pretty slow.

I should have sent it back, but by the time I hooked it up and realized the issue, I'd owned it for months.

This is the most convenient way to inflate your tires. The inflator easily connects to the tire valve stem and the built-in pressure gauge has large, dark numbers that are easy to read for "old eyes". I compared the gauge against a digital gauge and found it to be accurate. Not having to swith between the inflator and a separate pressure gauge is very convenient.

The quality of the hose and other components is nice. I expected typical, cheap components but was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package.

Always liked these at the gas stations where they require something indestructible and straight forward. I love this - particularly now that I have had several failed attempts at getting something convenient at home. Does have some downsides - my older eyes can't get a terribly accurate reading in broad daylight and compromised lighting situations are impossible for everyone. Picturing a in-line, indestructible, solar powered, backlit, led readout to supplement the device in those situations. It drives me a little crazy to know what my tire pressures is to ONLY -/+ 2. Electric car tires have a greater need for accuracy.

Nice and surprisingly heavily built tool does just the trick. This is the style with the sliding brass pressure gauge.

I haven't yet checked the gauge for calibration, and that would be the only thing that would make me drop a star, but I have no reason to believe it's significantly inaccurate.

Shortly after receiving this tool, I came across the exact same model installed for self-service air inflation at a popular gas station nearby. It looked to still be serving admirably after a good long period of use. The outermost layer of the rubber hose was beginning to crack and chip, but looked to still function perfectly, and this was likely a result of continuous outdoor 24/7 exposure. I'd say that this is overall quite a testament to the quality of the tool for its price.

My 2014 Honda Odyssey, like many vehicles, has cleverly hidden the tire valves where many inflators cannot reach them. In the past, I have used valve extenders, which sometimes work and sometimes don't. This Amflo product, which arrived yesterday, has made my automotive life much simpler.

Replaced the inflator fitting on my Husky compressor with this Amflo unit. Instant satisfaction. The straight-on, tapered tip fits perfectly, with no leakage.

Tire pressure, as indicated by the built-in gauge, corresponds nicely to my separate, handheld pressure gauge.

Great product, fair price.

works as expected. Used it with my crasftsman compressor and now i can put air in my tires like a pro... the tire pressure gauge is useful but not as accurate to get to the desired pressure i wanted. So I use it to get a little over the require pressure and then use a better gauge to get to my actual pressure. Works great!!!

This is great. I use it way more often than I expected and it's extremely durable and useful. I live on a dirt road and I constantly am picking up nicks and punctures in one of my vehicles that apparently has butter for tires. It's great for a quick reading and spot on. I have it in my rv and it's great.

Update a year later:
The guage started to read inaccurately... Turns out the brass part of the guage that pops out to show the reading was slowly unscrewing... Put it on a tire with some pressure in the tire so it came out and I just tightened it up by hand! No more issues. Still works great and still recommend.

Original review:
I had a heck of a time filing the tires in my wife's minivan. The wheels were such that my regular air hose just wouldn't do it and my long-reach nozzle for filling dually tires wouldn't either. This straight-on amflo is perfect! Goes on, no issues and works exactly as I hoped it would. I never realized how much better it is with the pressure guage being built in until I bought one.

And being Amflo it'll last me forever. My buddy bought the discount version for half from the local made-in-china store. His broke within a month and I truly doubt if his was accurate from the start... His was plastic where this is metal and brass.

I definitely recommend. Commercial or residential. Can't go wrong.
