Ha! I love this little guy.

When I say "little guy", I mean that affectionately. I've had a portable tire inflator since, well, I can't remember when, but it's been at least three cars. It was measurably bigger than this one and not nearly as impressive.

I'm a big fan of avoiding gas stations for keeping my tires inflated. Beyond the awkwardness of the pumps, their effectiveness is sometimes sketchy. Now, with today's tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), you get the reminder if you've gone too long without checking and what more perfect and convenient time to refill tires than on a rested and cool car outside your own front door.

This does everything you would ask of a portable inflator: it's fast, it's efficient and it's quiet. My old inflator sounded as if I was tearing up my driveway when I used it and it probably took twice as long to work.

I saw some questions about the potential lost air while detaching the connecting hose and it seems like the pump may run a little over the stated PSI as protection for that situation. The automatic shut-off when it reaches the pressure you set is a huge boon, as I can rumble around in the trunk or work inside the car without having to constantly monitor the pump.

I can't say much about the carrying bag, it's a silly little thing that's likely to tear over time, but that's meaningless when talking about performance and value. If I had any quibble at all, it would be that I don't seem to be able to shut off the light on the pump. It's not a big deal from a power perspective, just an OCD thing (why have it on in the daytime?).

This is a great purchase at a terrific price.

I was going to buy a unit that ran on 120 V A.C based on the poor performance of my current 12 V D.C. inflator. Turns out my old inflators was twenty years out of date. I love the screw on connection compared to the snap lock on my old one. The noise of this won't interrupt a conversation, my other one sounded like a jackhammer. This one adds a few pounds in under a minute vs. my old three minutes per psi. Very simple to operate and the storage bag is a nice bonus. Good purchase, just hope it lasts twenty years.

Not as fast as other 1cfm pumps I have had. There are good points though.
1. It automatically turns off
2. Nice quality air hose
3. Digital display

There are several things I don't like though...
1. Much slower than my last 3 pumps
2. Short air hose
3. Gets much hotter than my others. I am concerned about early failure of the motor.
4. Did I mention slow already???

It is fine too put in our Prius for the rare emergency in the cold but not beefy enough for our SUVs.

This is the best air pump I've ever owned! My family has always kept air pumps in case of emergency. My last one I got on discount at a store and it was terrible. This pump is great! I bought it for my boat trailer. It pumped up the tires, with my heavy boat on the trailer, and worked great! I love that you can set it to the correct PSI and then just walk away. Great buy!

This had previously been a 5 star review. When I first bought this I had no problems with it. 2 months later I was helping a guy stranded on the road. The compressor won't kick in. It's been sitting in my car untouched since the first and only time I used it. Led and pressure gauge work, but no compressor.

Update 04.25.17

Seller agreed to send replacement unit 5 days ago but has failed to ship as promised. According to seller, Amazon is responsible for the delay.

The threads inside of attachment hose extremely soft and have actually worn down after approximately 10 uses. Makes attaching hose to tire stem nearly impossible.

Its compact, and worked great on my BRZ. Set the unit to 35 PSI and it did its work in no time.

Here is what is great about it:
- Its really small
- The lamp is very useful
- Plenty of cord length for my BRZ
- The connection to the tire valve is threaded and goes on really easily. Instead of the clip on type which I personally don't like.
- All 4 of my tires were significantly low and this had no problem managing the job

There are a few things that are important to check, the manufacturer is very specific about making sure your wiring can manage a full 15 amps. If you can't you will probably blow some fuses. Most modern cars should be fine but older models might not be. Make sure to check before you use it. If you have a large vehicle I'd make sure you have a 12v plug close enough to your tires for the unit to reach. I was fine plugging into my center console but I'm in a very small car.

New to RV lifestyle. Love this little guy. Just attach to the tire, set the PSI, turn on and it will auto stop when the PSI is reached. Will say that u may have to play around with the connection point to properly activate the airflow. If the compressor vibrates a lot, u do not have a secure connection. There should be a steady hum without any vibration. It's not required but I recommend a little break in between consecutive fills to prevent overheating. I noticed better subsequent fills worked better after a break. Note that this is a small compressor so it may take some time if your item needs a lot of air. Stores nicely.

I am delighted with this compressor. It is lightweight, easy to handle, and works well. I increased the pressure in a car tire from 28.5 to 35 in about two minutes. This was much faster than my previous compressor, and it is also quieter. I increased the pressure in four tires, one after another, and the compressor never got unduly hot....warm, but not hot. The cords are long enough....I could reach all four tires. You just set the digital gauge to the PSI that you want, turn it on, and let it do its thing. After mine reached the 35 target level, it actually continued running (less than a minute) until it was ready to go up another level, and then it cut off.

First, the good:
- Very quiet!
- Shut-off feature works as expected - I do not have to closely monitor the actual pressure, I can walk away and the unit shuts off automatically when desired pressure is reached.
- Construction seems solid.
The not so-good:
- Orientation of the gauge vis-a-vis the light seems wrong to me - when the light is aimed at the tire, the gauge is facing away from the user, the reverse of what it should be, I think.
- The location of the on-off switch is not ideal, because it is not visible from above. A better location would be on top of the unit.
