Top critical review
2.0 out of 5 starsIt wants to be fancy, but it mostly buzzes a lot.

I picked this up in hopes of replacing my aging Oral-B Triumph, which isn't holding a charge as well as it used to. I had tried the entry-level Sonicare model a few months ago, and hated it. But, I thought the DiamondClean would be a huge upgrade.
In terms of use, I can't say it felt much different at all. Yes, it has insane vibration, and it made my toothpaste foam like mad. It pushed the toothpaste between my teeth better than any toothbrush I've used, but at the same time, I felt like my teeth weren't really clean. Definitely not as clean as they feel after brushing with the Triumph.
The DiamondClean has a number of different heads and options, but to be honest, using the gum health head, I didn't notice any difference at all between the settings. It's effectively a super soft brush that vibrates insanely.
Highlights:
*Nicest packaging you'll see in an electric toothbrush.
*Lots of heads included.
*Charging glass looks really cool.
*Nicest travel case ever.
Downsides:
*Brush heads aren't labeled as to which head does what. You have to follow a pictogram.
*Charging glass isn't meant to be used as a glass, and can tip easily from the weight of the toothbrush.
*Vibration made some of my sensitive teeth hurt for nearly an hour after brushing with Sensodyne.
This is one of those products where I think people get a bit indoctrinated. If you started with a Sonicare toothbrush, an Oral-B probably seems horrible. Coming from an Oral-B, I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. Well... anybody who doesn't already love how Sonicare toothbrushes work.
