Perfect healthy sunscreen. I order several Blue Lizard sunscreens over the past 3 years based on Environmental Working Group review that indicates approved health levels. Not as thick as other brands so it can get smeared on my grandkids' faces easily. No skin reactions ever. My sister has advanced melanoma so I gave her one bottle. Not sure when my current blue lizard sunscreens' expiration date is, and also don't know the creation year/ bottle. EWG says 2013 creation year is the old version so I assume that is no longer sold since there is a 2015 version. Any other years?

EWG lists this lotion as one of the safest to use, so it has that going for it. While thicker than most other lotions, it was expected as it is actually meant to protect your skin, unlike most others. My issue was that within minutes of beginning to sweat, the lotion ran like crazy and it looked pretty terrible, also greatly reducing its effectiveness. Perhaps that could have been alleviated by giving more than 20 minutes to let it soak in, but I would have thought that would ample time. So for me (late 20s male, fairly light skin), it wasn't very effective, however my <5 year old nieces did great with it, possibly because they sweat a lot less.

This stuff is very thick but with a red-headed husband and a half ginger baby, this was what we needed. It's pricey but having read all the reviews here and elsewhere, Blue Lizard is one of the best and so I just had to suck it up. We've been using this for about a month now and no sunburns yet!

For a trip to the south pacific, I got this based on EW suggestion and reviews. Yes, it is a bit more expensive, it is thick and I had to reapply due to sweating/humidity. But it worked! And it did so with less of the crazy chemicals out there.

We spent ten days in the virgin islands in January. I used blue lizard for the first few days and then switched to another sunscreen with similar SPF. I could definitely see a difference. Though not burned, my skin visibly received more sun with the other brand. The blue lizard is thick but easy to apply. Highly recommend for anyone who wants solid sun protection.

Goes on really well, and I love that the bottle turning blue reminds you to apply sunblock. The best part of this product is that it doesn't contain oxybenzone which has been said recently to have negative impact on the oceans and the environment. Our friends borrowed it to apply to their toddler and it worked out fine for them (no breakouts or bad reactions). Everyone had fun playing in the sun and coming back without any burns.

A great amount of protection from the sun with this product. It is non irritating for my sensitive skin and also non greasy. This is the second year I have started using Blue Lizard sunscreen and will buy it from now on. It was recommended by the dermatologist at the office but I found it less expensive on Amazon.

I am sure it works well and has been highly recommended by my Dermatologist. Just hate the pasty white film...but not as much as more skin damage. I would rate it a 5 star if anyone ever figures out a formula that isn't noticeable you have it on.

The only sunscreen that does not cause hives for me. Will not use anything else.
