Courage hasn’t failed her

I’ve been a fan of Celine and her music for 27+ years, since I was 7. This album is truly awesome. I’ve read other reviews of people complaining she’s “changed” and she’s trying to “fit in”. The reality is, Celine is stepping out of the box we’re used to hearing her in. She’s trying new sounds and honestly, I think it works. She’s a versatile artist who has the luxury of being able to adapt her voice to practically every sound, unapologetically - I mean, have you heard this woman recreate instruments with her voice?! It’s awesome. I really enjoy the new sounds of this album and have had it on repeat. “The Hard Way” is one of my favorites, but I love every single song for different reasons. I applaud her for this masterpiece and look forward to seeing her on the Courage world tour!

The reality is, Celine is stepping out of the box we’re used to hearing her in. She’s trying new sounds and honestly, I think it works. She’s a versatile artist who has the luxury of being able to adapt her voice to practically every sound, unapologetically - I mean, have you heard this woman recreate instruments with her voice?! It’s awesome. I really enjoy the new sounds of this album and have had it on repeat. “The Hard Way” is one of my favorites, but I love every single song for different reasons. I applaud her for this masterpiece and look forward to seeing her on the Courage world tour!

I purchased the deluxe version of "Courage" and Celine's CD never fail to disappoint. I have all her English CDs except for "Miracle," because that's a maternal album. I abhor child(ren). I myself am never proliferating my DNA and I'll adopt (rescue) fur babies from the local shelter. Anyway....
As others have pointed out, this is the 2020 Celine and I'm glad she decided to pursue and experiment a little with her song selection. It's not like she completely did a 180-degree and decided to release a rap/hip-hop and twerking on the music video. HA! That would be the day and a sight to see. Let's face it. Celine is Celine is Celine and she's amongst the best songstresses of the current times. One of the reviews from a magazine compared "Courage" to Cher's "Believe." It was released at the right time for the events transpiring in the singer's professional and personal life.
Artists needs to grow. Artists must grow. Regardless of if you're singing, dancing, painting or whatever artistic field.
My favorite "tee-hee" moment, when I thought I heard an expletive in "Perfect Goodbye." My goodness! I thought my hearing was playing tricks on me. It was indeed for real and I need not pinch myself to check whether I was experiencing an alternative reality. Celine Dion did sang the s-word. HA! A diversification of song selection and amazing singing delivery. Five out of five stars!

As someone who lost her beloved husband a little over two years ago I can relate to so many of the songs on this album ... and with Celine's amazing voice and her emotion that fills each song ... it is just amazing.

I wasn't sure how I would like this CD. Lately, I've been truly enjoying her French music, which, to me, is very different from her English music, and quite beautiful (and I don't speak French at all). Well, it's taking me a few times playing Courage and listening to the words of the different songs. She does sound different, but, guess what, still incredible! My favorites on the CD so far are Lying Down, Courage, The Chase, I Will be Stronger, and Heart of Glass. As I keep listening, I'm sure there will be others. I like this CD better than "Loved Me Back to Life".

Totally love this CD, Celine Dion songs are so captivating. Been a fan of Celine Dion since I was a child, and every time she has an album out I always gi out of my way to get it, that's how much I love her music and hearing her sing.

I have purchased all of Celine Dion's English albums as well as many of her French CD's. I was excited to see that she released a long awaited English album. I am thrilled with this new music of hers. It's basically music about being on the edge of something new while not forgetting where you have been. I can relate to a lot of the songs as I am starting anew in areas of my life too. Overall, the music is encouraging and courageous and with her beautiful vocals it makes for great listening pleasure. And I am especially grateful for the raw honesty that being broken is okay, because the acceptance of it leads to healing. I am so glad her and Rene's legacy lives on...

This album is very different from the usual type of album she makes. This album has so much deep meaning and passion in every song, anyone can relate. I’m very happy I purchased this. Some people have left a bad review because of how different it is. But, it’s different for a reason. She did a fantastic job and it’s her best album in my opinion.

This album is giving me life!!! It is so exciting when a singer gives up the chase for hit singles and simply makes an album she loves and sings the way she wants, with music she loves. This is not '90s Celine- let it go. This is a grown woman singing. A 51 year old professional artist baring her soul. She can still sing! This is her best beginning-to-end album since One Heart in 2003. Brava!!!
