This timely book has allows both professionals and patients to really reflect on what it means to prepare for surgery and the life or death consequences that we face. As many medical professionals know, despite the best technology or training, sometimes outcomes are beyond control and are in God's hands.

I think this book is great for loved ones going through through surgery and trying to gather meaning from their experience. I also think this book is great for any medical student, doctor, or medical professional trying to place their work into greater context.
