- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2024As I got into it, I couldn't put it down. Very well written.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2015John Stockwell is a very good author. I don't enjoy much fiction, but he managed to write a clean, cohesive, easy-to-read novel about a world that is exotic and interesting. The focus was on character, plot, and a world that no longer exists.
The writing was simple, declarative and straight-forward, with a sophisticated understanding of the range of human interactions coupled with exposure to a world we seldom see. I always enjoy books that show both sides of the master-servant relationship.
This was a pleasure to read.
