That's pretty much all you need to do! Just buy it! Be prepared to learn good things!!!! That everyone should know.... why not learn more about fruits and vegetables!!! Best stuff on earth! :) The pictures are amazing... and Brendan has awesome life experience so you are learning from someone who lives this... love that. Be prepared to THRIVE! Wow! Wow! and Wow! While I am not fond of all the recipes because some of the ingredients are out of my reach, this book is a must have for anyone wanting a clean plant based diet. The recipes I tried came out delicious and the cake I made from Brendan's book turned out so pretty it was hard to make the first cut. Brendan gets it! HIs book and cookbook will help any man realize there are other protein sources outside of meat. This book will help any man eat healthier and still look muscular and will help women look more fit, while feeling better.

Let me start by saying I respect Brendan Brazier. I have followed him and his progresses and discoveries on clean vegan nutrition for years. I am a firm believer that we need to clean up our diets and that natural sourced foods are the way to go for a better health, disease prevention, and for... thriving!
However, as good as his recipes look or sound like, they also are time-, energy-, and money-consuming. The ingredients for the recipes are often exotic and hard to find at your local grocery store (even at a co-op or natural store). You will have to go through three markets (including probably an Asian one) to find all for the coconut lime lemongrass soup as tempting as it is! Also for the spice mixes, you will have to find powdered reiki, or echinea and astralagus.
At last, his desserts and drinks recipes sound oh! so yummy, but come on! ...I need a high speed blender, slow-speed juice extractor, and high-speed juicer! I can't even start to think about making a green juice following his mighty king chlorophyll juice!
To sum up, I would say it's a great book with amazing, tasty, healthy recipes for people who have a lot of time and quite some money on hand and live in big cities where health stores flourish.

As a vegan author, I love to cook. But only when the recipes are quick, clean and easily digestible. So many plant-based cookbooks have ingredient lists a mile long, are full of soy and processed items and are just too involved. I've been a follower of Brendan since Thrive, and these recipes are by far the best he's ever put out.

The recipes have short lists, clean, easy-to-find ingredients and very simple instructions. For those who love to sprout and soak their nuts and seeds, you can always take these recipes a step further by germinating, dehydrating, etc. But if you really want to eat clean food that tastes GOOD, these recipes nail that objective simply.

I love the "athlete" section for those who want good pre and post-workout food. So often, we don't know what to eat around our workouts and the book offers some simple, delicious solutions.

Even if you've never eaten plant-based, these recipes are perfect for any palette (however resistant you might be to "healthy" foods). As a 15 year vegan and an athlete all my life, this book is what I've been waiting for.

Because even when we're healthy, we can get into ruts eating the same things again and again. Thrive Energy breaks us out of that rut - for good.

So much good information and delicious recipes that I can actually find most of the ingredients for near where I live.
It's not just a cookbook with recipes. The author educates the reader on what the body needs to "thrive", and what foods are going to enable the body to do that. A lot of good information included. The recipes really do look amazing, and easy to prepare. I'm very glad I purchased this book. It will help me a lot on my road to health and veganism.

Bright, beautiful photos..I have only made one recipe, the chickpea burgers, which were pretty bland..but I am willing to give some more recipes a shot before I make a fair decision about this book. I respect and appreciate Brendan's writing and theories about food and the environment!

I like all of Brendan Brazier's books, as well as his websites and his products. This book is probably my favorite though. The recipes are delicious, as well as accessible and practical. He gives a good overview of his Thrive principles and the Thrive pyramid and has many wonderful recipes, both for performance and general nutrition and health. I recommend all of his books and believe that this one will be particularly well received by mainstream audiences, as well as dedicated vegan athletes, like me.

In my opinion: in recipes there is too much of bread used (grilled too), not enough illustrations or illustration are too dark.
But I liked the other two books by the same author I bought with this one, so I didn't returned this book -I left it as a complementary to the other books.

This is a beautifully photographed, well laid out cookbook. Every single recipe is designed with your health in mind. Each recipe has an icon to provide further nutritional information, e.g. gf = gluten free option, pr = protein rich options, and so on. There are transitional recipes for those who are just venturing into a change of diet but for palates not yet used to a plant based one. The recipe for homemade almond milk is awesome. Well worth the time to make, which other than soaking is no time at all. I love the kale chips....very crunchy and the Roasted Red Pepper and Sweet Potato soup is one of the nicest soups I have tasted. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is considering a cleaner diet and for those that exercise and need better nutrition. You won't regret it.
