    I bought this book on a hunch my 9 yr old daughter would enjoy it, and she loves it. The book is well written for the 8-13yr old age group. Do avoid the kindle version though, the free chapter 1 preview was pretty bad at getting text that needs to go with drawings and diagrams together. After reading the first chapter in the free kindle version on my PC, I almost didn't buy it because the drawings just didn't make any sense without the required text nearby-when I received the book I could tell it was just bad translation-great reading for young girls.

    I am a magician and I collect magic books written for the public--especially books written for children. I bought this book primarily to see what magic tricks it taught.

    The chapter "Magic Girl" has subdivisions on "Paper Magic" (which is more origami than magic); "Magic Tricks" (which is as much science experimens and origami as magic); "Sneaky Tape Creations" that uses magnetic tape from a cassette tape(!?!) cut into pieces and glued to a drawing of a face to make hair and a beard. Who has cassette tapes to cut up???
