Excellent book. This is a scholarly investigation into the unbelievable influence both cultural and political that a small minority has come to exert over the USA. It delves into the depths of deep seated hatred that this minority has for Christians and the Republic. A must read.

Challenges comprehension, convictions

How this book is written: Opinions are driven using references. Within a paragraph or two, the author does his best to set historical tone. He includes critique by media and public figures. The reader should find little reason to charge the author with deceptive use of obscure primary sources. A bias is disclosed in the preface, but the work always remains respectable.

It's not an easy read. The author uses a difficult sentence structure at times. Paragraphs could take 5 minutes to fully comprehend. I would consider CofC graduate or upper division social studies. If you are concerned, the Preface to the Kindle 2013 Edition is generously given in the above link. That alone took me a week to read.

Dr. MacDonald is frequently active on twitter and engages as any retired professor would. Two books preceded CofC, earning him respect outside academia. By reading the third, you have done more than every critic but one (info in 2013 Kindle Preface). CofC challenges comprehension, but should not offend any reader. Every member of Western Culture who values fair representation will be amazed throughout this book.

breathtakingly refreshing. although macdonald has at times a sense of repetitiveness, his insight and earnesty is valuable, particularly in a society today so heavily dominated by the media and false liberalism produced in our print media and publications, this especially makes it a most important read.

A difficult book to read as it challenges my preconceptions and backs up its conclusions with documentation. Some folk want to kill the messenger, but the message is well-supported by the facts. Or, maybe they want to kill the messenger because it is well-supported by the facts? I could only read it in fits and starts, but eventually got through it. This s not the sort of book one reads for pleasure, but for edification.

This book has a lot of details and the sources are well footnoted so the history is solid. One after another he shows how the incestuous infiltration of various fields has enabled them to build an aurora of solid consensus - when the "experts" are really just aggressively quoting and promoting each other and suppressing dissent. When he got to the chapter on "immigration reform" which has and is destroying my race, the white race with massive third world immigration into white countries and only white countries, it made my blood boil, but it is just the facts.
