I hadn't pulled this book off of the shelf in years, but opened it recently while preparing some general lectures on CAVM for a veterinary conference. I was impressed by how extensively referenced this text is, in every section. Even though it is twenty years old, it is still an amazing resource for teaching conventional veterinarians about the peer-reviewed science that explains the clinical results widely obtained using non-conventional modalities of treatment. Today's easily available citation databases show in real time how often allopathic acceptance of CAM and CAVM treatments has been limited by our abilities to measure and observe in nano science, which is rapidly changing. Well done, Allen and Susan, for creating a text that is still very useful!

One of the most interesting book in Veterinary Medicine

A mine of information, very technical and thorough for all vets interested in alternative medicine and those who wish to learn more about it. I bought it 5 years ago and still have a lot of pleasure to read it again.Chapters after chapters, you fully understand that the holistic approach of a sick animal is the only worthwhile and that the complete cure is a reachable goal,not simply alleviate or mask symptoms like in the allopathic way. A book for what the future approach of patients and care will be in the 21st century.
