I have not read this book but am looking forward to it. However, be aware that it is not downloadable to my Kindle Paperwhite 11th ed (2021) or to my Kindle Keyboard. It is downloadable to the Kindle apps on my computer, tablet, and phone.

Gene Sharp is the seminal figure in the study of nonviolent civil resistance, and this is his magnum opus. He is a clear and rational writer, who stays close to the ground with many historical examples and practical principles. And this is a big book, chock full of ideas. The leadership of any movement engaging in mass protests to remove a dictator from power should be familiar with his work, as should anyone writing about popular protest. But his writings should also play a greater role in peacebuilding literature, which all too often overlooks the power of mass movements to end wars.
