Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

The book is well illustrated and the actual construction steps are presented step by step. It is easy to follow.
I tend to distrust the natural approach, fearing that in time, organic matter will decay. I am less distrustful of it now and have some new ideas to try.
The author's systems are very well documented and use inexpensive materials when ever possible.
Top reviews from other countries
The author is an undisputed model railroad master - and as firmly rooted in the New England scene of the 1950s as can be. Hence, this book is all about the scenery of that area and era. If your project matches up with this, then you will love this book. If not, it's frustratingly useless.
I would expect a "basic" coverage of scenery to touch upon various different types of scenery (forest - plains - desert - mountains) and different time periods (e.g. road surfaces and markings of the 1930s, 1960s, 1980s, 2000s and their differences). Unfortunately, there is little to nothing of this to be found here - you're stuck with the author's personal preferences.
The two stars are for the usual high Kalmbach production standards only.
