In an era where it is unclear what different movements actually stand for, this book is a great attempt to lay out the principles that guide the Conservative movement.

Considering Conservative Judaism? I was, when I picked up this little pamphlet. I thought it was a great overview to the ideas and perspectives behind the movement. However, if you are looking for specifics on say synagogue etiquette or observance, I am afraid this book is lacking. Instead it gives you a perspective on how Conservative Judaism approaches such things as the Modern State of Israel, Women, and Interfaith dialogue. If you are looking for something on observance then check out
