When one of my incarcerated Sponsees tried to tell me that the 12-Step Book doesn't have all the answers I was initially dismayed, and fearing for his life and Recovery-but the Spiritual Principal of Openmindedness prevailed and Investigation prior to contempt lead me to ordering my own copy!
Bo Lazoff is an acquaintance from the Hippy Revolution and one of the cohort of Dr. Richard Alpert, PhD, late of Harvard University and peer with Alan Ginsberg and a former Merry Pranksters: it was like spending time with an old friend and enjoying finding how the Prison Ashram Project had flourished and evolved.
This is a wonderful compilation of Bo's experience, strength and hope-along with lots of resources and guides after the pattern of Ram Das' BE HERE NOW, which is high praise in itself, but also homage to his teacher-who, sad to say, he has pre-deceased in this adventure.
HIGHLY RECOMENDED! (And I believe profits, minimal as they might be, go towards furthering the spiritual growth programs that these guys pioneered! Buy several and work off some karma! )
