Dr. Greer is the founder and director of the Disclosure Project and the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence. He is an emergency physician and member of AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha), the nation's most prestigious medical honor society.

On May 9, 2001, He spearheaded The Disclosure Project press conference at the National Press Club in Washington DC at which more that 20 military, government, corporate and intelligence witnesses came forward to urge open and honest congressional hearings in to the subject of UFOs and exotic energy and propulsion technologies. 250,000 were waiting on line for the webcast - the largest number ever for a webcast from the National Press Club.

Dr. Greer has met with and provided briefings for senior members of government, military and intelligence operations in the United States and around the world, including senior CIA officials, Joint Chiefs of Staff, senior members of congress and congressional committees, senior United Nations leadership and diplomats, senior military officials in the United Kingdom and Europe among others.

Dr. Greer has been seen and heard by millions world-wide on shows such as The Larry King show, BBC, NTV in Japan, The Voice of America and many others. He has addressed tens of thousands of people live at conferences and lectures around the world.

He is married. He and his wife have 4 daughters and live in the Charlottesville, Virginia area.

Dr. Steven Greer is one of the world’s foremost authorities on the subject of UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence and technologies, and initiating peaceful contact with interstellar civilizations. Dr. Greer’s career began as an emergency and trauma physician, where he worked as an emergency room doctor and ultimately served as Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, North Carolina. In 1987, Dr. Greer became a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

While Dr. Greer’s interest in the UFO/ET theme began at an early age, his increased attention to the subject did not develop until well into his medical career. At that stage, Dr. Greer’s ongoing personal research into UFOs, ETs, and new energy systems led him to the knowledge that information and technologies surrounding these subjects were being kept from both the public and the highest ranks of our government, through decades of highly classified programs. It was this alarming realization that inspired Dr. Greer to begin his focused work on disclosure.

Dr. Greer initiated his work in the UFO/ET area by founding the Center for the Study of Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) in 1990. CSETI was established as a diplomatic and research-based organization to make peaceful contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. Soon after, Dr. Greer founded The Disclosure Project, a nonprofit research initiative aimed at publicly disclosing the extensive and deeply classified information about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and advanced energy and propulsion systems.

While CSETI continued its diplomatic efforts throughout the 1990s, The Disclosure Project made substantial progress towards the release of classified UFO/ET information, culminating in the groundbreaking National Press Club Disclosure Event in May, 2001. During this event, over 20 military, government, intelligence, and corporate witnesses presented compelling testimony regarding the existence of extraterrestrial visitations as well as the reverse engineering of their energy and propulsion systems by classified government projects.     Stephen Greer, a former ER doc who became interested in the UFO/UAP topic in the early 90s, has assembled a massive collection of dozens of interviews with military officials, intelligence agents, pilots, and other credible witnesses.

    Their verbatim accounts are striking, detailed, and sobering. This book, along with other books, including Robert Hasting’s 2020 “UFOs and Nukes” (also a compendium of historic interviews) and Lue Elizondo’s 2024 “Imminent,” make an essential introduction to this issue.

    Elizondo represents a more militaristic point of view to the topic, and Greer a more diplomatic and spiritual side. Given the profound advantages the non-human intelligences behind the UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena) have over our warlike human military, Greer makes by far the better case, IMO.

    He believes that, should we wish to survive as a species, it would behoove us to respect that non-human intelligence and abandon our warlike “angry ape” attitude. Full disclosure of what’s really going on in the black budget R&D UAP world will be a necessary preliminary to that respect and our eventual abandonment of violence.

    This is the finest book on this subject I have read in my entire life, with chapters 65, 66 and 67 on the level of "mind-blowing". I seldom write reviews for the books I purchase here. But this one is so far more than I had hoped for. And if the testimony of all these people is trustworthy, than it goes a long way in answering many of the questions that have occupied my thoughts from the time I was 8 years old. As so many UFO researchers have suspected over the years, there is not only a "secret military government" that controls America behind the political front "puppets" they manage in an effort to maintain the fiction that this nation is governed by "civilian control". It allows readers an inside view of exactly how this secret government has carefully orchestrated a parallel history that has evolved side-by-side with the fictional history we are taught in our schools. Dr. Greer's monumental achievement here makes this book the final piece of the puzzle that brings all the various aspects of this historical jig-saw puzzle into a single iconic image of our three-dimensional world in a four-dimensional universe. This book is for all the readers who have lived with the hope, as I have all my life, that a day would come when many of the people who have assumed this control over us for more than half a century would reach an advanced age and decide that their responsibility to the "truth" is more important than their responsibility to their security oaths; that before they leave this life, they are going to finally make public the real story of their participation in this secret government history.     I really enjoyed this book. I read Dr. Greer's newer book Hidden Truth Forbidden Knowledge, and thought that was a good book too. The difference is that this book is more testimony and credible eye witness accounts. This was more entertaining and engaging than the other books by Dr. Greer. I honestly read though this book very quickly. If you had to choose between the two books I would choose this one first...then hit his other books. The reason I gave this 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that I really wish there was a follow-up to this material. The book was written in 2001 and there has been a lot of time since then. If I read this book in 2001, I would of gave it a 5. Although his newer book hits upon some "update" material, Hidden Truth Forbidden Knowledge is much more spiritual as opposed to disclosing real evidence like this book. Since it's 2007, I am left with questions like...so what's happened since then? I tried to check the website and it really isn't updated with new material. So a follow-up book to this would be great...or even an updated version. Overall...a very entertaining read and a must if you are even remotely interested in UFOs.

    Part way through this book, I wondered if I had wasted my money, however Chapter 73 was worth the book price on its own.
    If the sample interests you, I suggest you buy the book and read the last chapter. Then read the other 72 chapters to fill in on some of the background information. There is so much secrecy surrounding UFOs, Black Ops and ET Reversed Engineering projects, it is little wonder that the real truth is difficult to discern. There are significant discrepancies and disagreements among witnesses but with compartmentalised knowledge and abounding disinformation, this is to be expected.
    Draw your own conclusions. This book was published 17 or 18 years ago and I am yet to see any categorical proof that any of it is not true.,to the best of the belief of very credible witnesses.
