Okay, this is the book to get on the Gerson Way. I love her concept and am devouring the book. It so keeps me motivated. I am applying some of the procedures in a preventative way and hap-hazard way (I am trying though). Love how I feel even on my 9th day. Coffee enemas don't work for me though. Can't hold the coffee in. TMI - I hope not. Can lose weight though easily just eating this way.....veggies & fruit with juicing and you look and feel great. I've been all over the internet with utube and learning sooooo much information that, even I, didn't know. She is a no-nonsencelady and I love her for that. You can tell, she knows her business. She reminds me of those tough character gals in the old movies that meant business in whatever they were telling you and you were lucky enough to hear. My hats off to you Charlotte!

Are you sick with some kind of ailment? YOU JUST FOUND THE CURE!!!!!! I have been going to doctor's for over 10 years with the same diagnosis. "You are perfectly healthy". Real funny!!!
I finally had a doctor that was highly recommended tell me "We could spend a million dollars trying to find what is wrong with you and then I could fill you full of pills that will inevitably make you much sicker OR you can do the Gerson Therapy and you will not have to think about it again. but don't tell any body I told you this because I could lose my license."
I literally was not able to go to work for the last few months before I started this therapy and with in a month I was up and moving around. It saved my life... and I can't say enough about it. If any body has any question's feel free to ask me. I will say though if you have been taking Prednisone for a long period of time the book says that your liver could be so badly damaged it can't be reversed. All I can say is stick it out and fight for your self. My wife has had Rhumetoid Arthritis since she was 17 and she has decided she is going to go with this until the arthritis goes away. Get ready for a lot of all natural organic juices, fruit and veggies. But remember folks don't go off of the guide lines this is a therapy not a diet and these guys have it down to a science. Or atleast try and stay with in the rules as close as possible for instance I have to go to work and I cant carry a Norwalk juicer to work with me so I just do the very best I possibly can with it and it is still working. You don't know how much this means because I have kids and a wife that depend on me and it saved me. Want to know more just go to the Gerson community on face book and talk to all the people being healed. Very encouraging. Juice on folks and enjoy your coffee.:)

Other than the acknowledgements dated 2009, I didn't see any references after 2006, so the version date is really probably 2007. That said, the Gerson Therapy reflects our current health knowledge without going to extremes.

Regardless of your health knowledge, this book will add significantly to your understanding, whether it is your first or last book added to your health library. This will benefit the healthy as well as the "terminally" ill. Prevention and cure are the same. It's just a matter of when you start. This is very inspirational since many alternative health doctors don't want to touch cancer patients because it is just too hard. The Gerson Therapy doesn't fear cancer, chronic degenerative disease or chronic pain. At the same time they are very honest about what diseases they can't truly cure.

This is easy to read and understand yet detailed and complete. It provides a fundamental understanding of health and the care and feeding of the human body with equal emphasis on nutrition from food vitamins, minerals, enzymes and the detox of the liver and colon. There is also a good explanation of the risks of conventional medicine.

This book is very comprehensive, explains everything you need to do to heal yourself. There are a couple of Gerson clinics that treat cancer and other chronic diseases, but if you can't afford to go there, Charlotte Gerson has graciously made the information available in this book. The Gerson clinic advocates for eating lots of fresh vegetables and fruit and lots of fresh juices. Much of the body's physiology as it applies to illness and the immune system is explained in depth. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to take control of their own health and is not interested in pharmaceuticals. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that Charlotte is somewhat biased in her description of other medical techniques. While I agree with her assessments, I think it unprofessional to bash other methods.

This book is an excellent reference book. You can jump around without worrying about reading it front to back by using the detailed index. This book is better organized than the previous 2004 edition (white-covered book) since the Table of Contents is written with more detail. When using it, in addition to the index, you can get to the chapters you want more quickly. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about reading it in order & I can highlight what I think is important & want to review more.
It's unfortunate that lobbyist with special interests (I.e., pharmaceutical companies) would put America's health issues second to making profits on drugs & therapies (like chemo) that compromise our bodies, & this started before I was even born when Max testified before the US Congress in 1949! It's the same with the food industry! I do my best to heed the lessons of Dr Maxwell Gerson, & although I'm not there yet, I am headed in that direction. I'm eating healthier & minimizing the forbidden foods. I have eliminated poisonous toothpaste from my life & try to buy organic & local food products. The organic coffee enemas are a better alternative to prescription drugs for my chronic illness, ulcerative colitis, & because I started them, I am not taking any chemical prescription drugs & plan to continue changing & improving my lifestyle until I die! It will be a sad day when Charlotte Gerson can no longer carry on her father's work, but I'm thankful for those who believe in The Gerson Therapy. If my friend survives Stage 3 lung cancer, this book will become my bible for life! Nutrition IS the key to keeping our bodies healthy, & juicing definitely is part of my life now. When I don't do it, I can feel a negative change in my body.
