This is a special edition to put the power of multinational advanced evolution science behind the American election and presidency of Barack Obama.

Documenting the global gains from an American shift from regressive to progressive leadership, Bankrolling Evolution: A Program for a President is a special edition of a report drawing on the work of the multinational General Evolution Research Group prepared for the Darwin Project Council of over 50 leading American, European, and Asian scientists and educators.

Part I lays bare what's gone wrong with a powerful diagnosis of the persisting threat of the pathology of regressive leadership, enablers, followers, and money that financed the multi-billion-dollar rightwing seizure of America.

Part II tracks how and why this happened within the context of the historic worldwide rise of hope for the American dream and revolution---in sharp contrast to the drive backward pushed to fearful extremes during the Bush years.

Part III explores how recapturing the vision of real power to the people can transcend division, forge a new alliance of thinking and caring Americans, and spread new hope, respect, and trust rather than fear, environmental devastation, and nuclear proliferation globally.

Part IV shows how with progressive leadership and a new measure and science of global healing we can prevent the return---otherwise potentially much worse next time---of what like the spread of a deadly illness periodically seizes whole nations to block and drive us backward in evolution.

Bankrolling Evolution provides a dramatic look at the different kind of future offered by the power of progressive science, a new investment in moral evolution, and the global prospect for an Obama American presidency.

Director of research and author of the report, psychologist and pioneering evolutionary systems scientist David Loye, is the former Research Director for the Program on Psychosocial Adaptation and the Future, Neuropsychiatric Institute, UCLA School of Medicine. A co-founder of two multinational advanced evolution research groups, Dr.Loye is the author of The Healing of a Nation, awarded the same national award earlier given to the famous Swedish economist Gunnar Myrdal for the social scientific classic An American Dilemma.

Bankrolling Evolution is a special edition of the first book for Dr.Loye's six book Darwin Anniversary Cycle. Succeeding titles available worldwide with online book sellers and book stores in the U.S. through the Ingram Book Company are: Measuring Evolution: A Leadership Guide to the Health and Wealth of Nations; Darwin's Lost Theory: Who We Really Are and Where We're Going; and Darwin on Love. Forthcoming in 2009: The Derailing of Evolution, and Telling the New Story: The Place of Evolution in the Life of Every One of Us.

interesting vision for political healing in America
What comes next for America? David Loye has interesting answers -- even if you are like me and don't agree with everything he says or see alternative ways to approach this important topic. Loye starts with an analysis of the current (GW Bush) administration's way of seeing and interacting with the world. He places this inside of a developmental context hoping to paint a pathway of political healing and renewal that would recreate America as a respected and admired leader in the world.

Bankrolling Evolution is an excellent example of a Progressive's take on the state of the Republic and its future. One never knows if Progressives ever read "1984" or not. At the very least one should send him a copy of Jonah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism". Or perhaps the writer is correct, in effect, assuming the saying "Power corrupts" has no validity whatsoever. Who knows. At the very least, the author seems to be one with those who believe the Republic's Founder's focus on the "separation of powers" were misguided, as the Progressives know the Truth and all others are idiots.
