30 Day Happiness Journal: 30 Days To Improve Your Happiness Paperback – June 21, 2019
Purchase options and add-ons
We all want to be happy in life. We talk about how we want to be happy, but most of us do nothing about it. We believe that we can only be happy when things in our lives are perfect. We have been taught to believe happiness is the house, the job, the ring, the figure, the foreign vacations, the wardrobe and other external things. This is not true. We can have happiness NOW. We don’t have to wait until something happens, until everything in life somehow becomes perfect, nor do we need to control everything to feel a certain way. We can be happy right now. And something great happens when we do this: when we feel happy, our outward experience changes in ways we could never imagine. It’s common to think we’ll be happy only when everything in our lives is exactly the way we want it to be. And that to "earn" our happiness, we must work hard to make our external circumstances “right.”But these external things do not last. With luck, we eventually realize that external things don’t make us happy long-term.To be happy, we first have to understand what happiness is. Happiness is pleasure and purpose. Pleasure means feeling positive emotions, such as delight, joy, and surprise, in the present moment. And purpose is about living a life which is worthwhile to you. When you are happy, you savor the food you eat, are more mindful in your daily experiences and appreciate all the beautiful things life has to offer. You count your blessings, are kind to others, and focus on being the best you can be. Every day you are mindful, appreciative and enthusiastic about life.Being truly happy starts with being good to yourself and a few ways to do this include:* Becoming more aware of your thoughts and feelings;* Listening to your inner self and to others;* Forgiving yourself for past mistakes; and* Accepting who you are in this moment. This 30 day journal provides information on small steps you can take right now, to improve your level of happiness and a page for each of the next 30 days in which you can record what you are doing to increase your happiness. Don't be one of those who complains - take steps to improve your happiness, with the 30 Day Happiness Journal
Email response from RS, pre publication reviewer:"Loved it, including the goal page, "What happiness means to me" and "Why I choose to be happy", as they are similar to a goal page. This makes the reflections page at the end more of a focused - did I hit my goals? Like the size - can easily carry it around."
