The book gets you started on learning how to work with Auto Cad on your own. It's not going to spoon feed you every single information so you have to practice and do more research and/or trial and error to get proficient in the area you need to be.

I would recommend buying more books on CAD exercises if you'd like to advance on to 3D modeling.

This is a very good starter book that makes learning some of the features of a very sophisticated software package pretty easy. I would still recommend getting "Mastering AutoCAD 2014 and AutoCAD LT 2014" to really go more in depth if that is what you wish to do. I cannot think of anyone that has spent $1,000 or much more that would not wish to go into more depth, but to each his/her own.

I'm not an expert, but with ALOT of practice , you can become proficient and actually earn a living doing CAD drawings for others!
This is a perfect work at home job....you actually can create drawings, keep the information, and skills, and people and companies pay you for your work.

I've learned a lot from this book. I almost had to start over from my 'self-taught' use of AutoCAD since I had taught myself so many bad habits. Doing it right makes all the difference in the world, and takes WAY less time than trying to figure it out on your own.

I enjoyed the humor of this text, but I still got a little bogged down in the minutia of the program. I am just a beginner with the program, but I still feel a little overwhelmed. I think the text would have been better suited to someone with prior knowledge of the program.

Very helpful book, well indexed which makes looking up a topic easy. Coverage of AutoCAD seems to be very comprehensive and it certainly helped me get started more quickly. Prefer using it as my first place to goto rather than the AutoCAD on-line help. Recommend this book to anyone starting out in AutoCAD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Die beste Einführung in AutoCAD, die ich kenne
Reviewed in Germany on November 1, 2015
