This is an excellent book, loaded with information on why we shouldn't keep taking our pets to the vet for those frequent vaccinations. The author is a lady vet who has a great deal of documentation on so many tragic stories of beloved pets who have been given vaccines, only to develop tumors, including cancerous, or nasty sores. As well as dying from the injections.
This was not totally new to me, having heard a couple of guests on alternative radio talk about how dangerous vaccines can be, but, being a responsible pet owner, I wanted to read what Dr. Jordan had to say. (I've also heard her guest, on the radio.)
I have owned many pets, over my long lifetime, and I am convinced that some of them definitely did have adverse effects from their routine vaccines. One developed seizures. Another had a severe allergy, right after a Distemper shot. Yet another one developed tumors all over her body, and she was quite young. And, one became lame, for a few mos., after his Rabies vaccine. Did you know that Rabies vaccine can also kill a dog? It has happened. Still, they are mandatory, almost everywhere.
To my horror, I found that some of the vaccines given to tiny Chihuahuas are the same dosage given to large dogs. I have learned that the one year and 3 year Rabies vaccine is the very same vaccine, yet, the vets charge more for the 3 year shot! This is not right......just one more way to make money without most people knowing..
After my dogs have their puppy shots, I haven't taken them back for routine immunizations. They are house dogs, and not in contact with other dogs, but they have been very healthy.
I recommend Dr. Jordan's book to anyone who wants the best for their pet. She tells it like it is!
