Jessica needs a fresh start. She is desperate to get over her feelings for her ex since a future with him isn’t possible, and she is determined to put her whole heart into this endeavor. Her new job as a spring training intern should come in handy since she will come in contact with many new possibilities, but what starts out as a hopeful prospect lands her heart in very dangerous territory. Jay has come to the US in the hopes of starting a major league baseball career. He is starting spring training, and above all else he needs to stay focused. Unfortunately for him, Jessica has something else in mind for him to focus on. Their first meeting leaves him not just wanting more but opens his heart to dare to believe that he has found what he never thought possible. Will Jay be able to maintain a balance between his dreams and his heart, and will Jessica find a new love that will not only consume her heart but free her soul?
Wow, how I loved Jessica and Jay in this amazing journey that we see them embark upon! They are two beautiful souls nursing a broken heart who just need a chance to find something more. The depth of emotions and transformation that we see them experience together is absolutely breathtaking. I don’t want to take away from the stunning exquisiteness of what transpires between these two, but be warned that they will run away with your heart and leave you completely breathless for so much more.
Rachelle Ayala is clearly a master at opening your heart to her spectacular characters and allowing them to pull on your heartstrings until you find yourself exhausted from your own inner struggle as they find their way through their journey. It’s not every day you find an author that can so easily wrap her words around your heart until they become your world, force your heart to beat, and make your soul sing with joy. If you love to feel the stories as you read them, then you don’t ever want to miss one of her books!
Jessica and Jay both have much to offer one another even if it's only for a week. But once things start heating up the trouble starts. Jay makes his choices and Jessica owns her past in this amazing story.
I especially love Rachelle's use of many character archetypes. She strays from the white girl white boy drama by casting her characters as Asian. This really helps the reader to see different perspectives and angles we are not accustomed to. Bringing with it a breath of fresh air!
A must read for any romance fan or baseball fan!

Jessica Song is an intern at Spring Training and Jay Pak Ahn is a baseball rookie looking to find his place on a Major League Team. As soon as the two meet their are sparks flying between them and their is intensity right from the start.
The two begin a hot and fast paced relationship but unfortunately there are some ghosts hiding in each of their pasts. When the ghosts come out will the two find a way to have a future together or is there too much hurt involved?
This novella is definitely for 18+ as it contains a lot of really racy encounters!!
