My boyfriend is a Shepard Fairey fan so this looked like a promising Christmas gift. I wasn't sure I was going to get this at first because I thought it might be cheesey but I read the reviews and they were all positive. I received it on time before Christmas, like promised and wrapped it in the Amazon box it came in so he wouldn't have a clue what it could be. Once he opened it, he was so excited becuase he had read about the book but had not been able to see it in person. He couldn't / can't put it down. He's a graphic designer and is always sketching and creating so this book is another source of inspiration for him and he loves that it's not just photos of Shepard Fairey's work but a lot of back stories behind each piece. The book's a great addition to our growing library of art books and even looks great on our coffee table, if he hasn't taken it with him to another room in our apt. Haha! Also, a great conversation starter! This turned out to be a better gift than expected!

I love the book. I'm a fan of Shepard Fairey and his book is wonderful, full of images on every page and a great look into his career and life as an artist, but a few days after I opened the book from its shrinkwrap, it started to curl or cup, making it a bit harder to flip through pages. This surprised me as it is a hardcovered book, and I don't keep it in a wet environment.

Aside from this frustrating phenomenon, the book is a great buy and a wonderful price on amazon compared to almost twice the price at retail stores.

My Son and 2 Grandsons are huge into skateboarding, and Obey is one of the hottest sources of skate graphics. We bought this as part of my younger -- 16-year-old -- Grandson's birthday present. I consider it the definitive Shepard Fairey book. Fairey recently came to our hood and painted some public murals. My younger Grandson recently got his driver's license and car and makes a point of driving by the closest mural and pointing it out to his passengers. My Grandson also bought me one of the limited-edition Obey Dirk posters, celebrating Dirk Nowitsky and the Dallas Mavericks' 2011 World Championship. We are all big Mavs fans and go to their games and other events as often as we are able.

This is a tremendous overview of this current-day artitst, pre-Hope poster. It gives a very good outline of the span of his work. I always wondered how someone who is known for his "public space" art would present his work and now I have my answer.

His art, it's presentation and availability to the general public ushers in a new era and to own a book of his art is gratifying.

Perhaps now if the Boston Police Department would take some time to understand art everything would be alright. Though the irony of it all can not be missed.

This version (20th Anniversary Edition)of Supply and Demand is simply put...just amazing. One sees the growth of Shepard's work from the previous edition (2006) until now. There is plenty of the Obama stuff which made me first take notice of this "underground" street artist. And...in the same way that Picasso's work came to dominate the first half of the 20th century and Warhol's the second, Shepard's work will come to dominate the first half of the 21st century. It's that good. Simply amazing.

I've been collecting Fairey's work for over a decade now and wanted to buy this book to see how he would put his collection together. This book is super fancy and heavy with hundreds of glossy pictures. The book layout is pretty cutting edge and gives you a youth fill not like some other art books where they have only one picture of someones artwork on a single page. If you like his artwork, you should buy this.

I wanted to write this without mentioning Banksy simply because Fairey's work can stand on its own without comparison to Banksy. However, having said that, many possibly wouldn't be aware of Fairey without you-know-who. Where Banksy adds humour, Fairey adds the feeling of a totalitarian state.

Anyway, the book is a generous size with all images printed to a high standard. The restricted palette of colours he uses works well to underline the feeling that the images are from a...uh, regime "that knows best" for the population. I bet Kim Jon Il was a fan.

If you like this work make sure you check out the documentary, "Exit through the gift shop" where Fairey speaks about some of his art.

Oh, and don't forget - Obey!
