    We are planning to renovate our kitchen this Spring (2013) and I wanted the newest book available. The chapters are divided by each section of the kitchen (cabinets, floors, appliances, etc.). Some parts of the chapters were very good - notably, new techniques and materials were discussed as well as various budget levels. The pictures disappointed me though - for example, sometimes the feature being discussed was almost all the way into the binding and I could hardly see it. I also just thought that a lot were ugly (but that is personal preference).

    Buy it for the discussion of the major parts of the kitchen and ideas at different budget levels, not for good pictures.
