Full Spectrum Dominance: Totalitarian Democracy in the New World Order Paperback – January 1, 2011

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 21 ratings

For the faction that controls the Pentagon, the military industry and the oil industry, the Cold War never ended. It went on 'below the radar' creating a global network of bases and conflicts to advance their long-term goal of Full Spectrum Dominance, the total control of the planet: land, sea, air, space, outer space and cyberspace. Their methods included control of propaganda, use of NGOs for regime change, Color Revolutions to advance NATO east, and a vast array of psychological and economic warfare techniques, a Revolution in Military Affairs as they termed it. The events of September 11, 2001 would allow an American President to declare a war on an enemy who was everywhere and nowhere, who justified a Patriot Act that destroyed that very freedom in the name of the new worldwide War on Terror. This book gives a disturbing look at that strategy of Full Spectrum Dominance.

From the Back Cover

For the faction controlling the Pentagon, the military industry, and the oil industry, the Cold War never ended. They engineered an incredible plan to grab total control of the planet, of land, sea, air, space, outer space and cyberspace. Continuing 'below the radar,' they created a global network of military bases and conflicts to advance the long-term goal of Full Spectrum Dominance. Methods included control of propaganda, use of NGOs for regime change, Color Revolutions to advance NATO eastwards, and a vast array of psychological and economic warfare techniques. They even used 'save the gorilla' organizations in Africa to secretly run arms in to create wars for raw materials. It was all part of a Revolution in Military Affairs as they termed it. The events of September 11, 2001 would allow an American President to declare a worldwide War on Terror, on an enemy who was everywhere, and nowhere. 9/11 justified the Patriot Act, the very act that destroyed Americans' constitutional freedoms in the name of security. This book gives a disturbing look at that strategy of Full Spectrum Dominance, at what is behind a strategy that could lead us into a horrific nuclear war in the very near future, and at the very least, to a world at continuous war.

"Full Spectrum Dominance" is an enlightening read about the plans and machinations of the New World Order. If anyone has any doubts about the U.S. Military's involvement in the New World Order this book will answer that question.
What is the New World Order? The New World Order is not what many Alex Jones Listeners imagine it is. Is it Rockefeller, Kissinger, and Brzezinski meeting with their conspirators at international conferences around the world to force fluoride into your local water supply? Or is it a vast network of Think Tanks, NGO's, Government Departments, Corporations, Politicians, Terrorist, Drug Dealers, Bankers, University Professors, Media men, and Military Officers? The New World Order is what it says it is a New Order with the U.S. as top dog. Full Spectrum Dominance is a strategy to be used to create this New World Order.
"Full Spectrum Dominance", the book, lays it all out for the reader to see. Subjects covered are:

Color Revolutions and swarming - Who is behind them, what is gained, etc.
The encirclement of Russia and China
War in Georgia
Darfur, Myanmar, Tibet, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan
Africom
The SDI or Star Wars / Missile Shields as offensive first strike systems
The proliferation of U.S. Military Bases
War on Terror as the new cold war
Human rights used as a weapon
Oil and Gas Pipelines
NASA and weaponization of Space

What do all these subjects have in common? Full Spectrum Dominance and the U.S. Empire Like Rome the U.S. evolved from a Republic to an Empire, but where Rome was conquering the known world. The U.S. with Full Spectrum Dominance will conquer the whole world. I also recommend:

A Century of War: Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order
Gods of Money: Wall Street and the Death of the American Century
Seeds of Destruction: The Hidden Agenda of Genetic Manipulation
Super Imperialism - New Edition: The Origin and Fundamentals of U.S. World Dominanc

I am non-US based, a bit hurried, and I am The General Reader.

I know this is a good book, because I kept coming across references to it in my other reading.

So far, however, I have a pattern of consulting it only lightly. It seems all I want to do is pick it up, read a few pages, sigh, and move on. This is mostly my fault. The book has a lot of exact references to exact people and exact events (which any scholar will find essential - they don't want woolly generalisations). But.

Summary: No doubt worthy. I appreciate its exactitude, but so far, I haven't made much use of it.

You think the current Ukrainian crisis is despotic oppression from an evil Bear awakened from hibernation? Consider the Ukraine's geopolitically strategic location and think again. Through covert CIA actions and overt NGO (nongovernmental organization) activities (i.e., Color Revolutions) the "military-industrial complex" Eisenhower prophetically warned us about in his farewell address extends its tentacles to every exploitable region on the globe. F. William Engdahl is perhaps the most astute and scholarly geopolitical analyst authoring books with integrity today.

This is an excellent book, that goes a lot to explaining US foreign policy decisions of the last thirty years. The author uses the position papers of high level Pentagon studies and released National Security Council memorandum to back it all up. Overall it is a fast though weighty read. Would recommend to anybody wanting the unvarnished truth.

F. William Engdahl's Full Spectrum Dominance exposes our military's relentless pursuit of total control of the world by any means possible, including a nuclear first-strike, for which purpose it is constantly upgrading our nuclear arsenal and delivery systems, resetting the Doomsday Clock perilously close to Midnight. For a work of non-fiction, it is riveting.

The first half of the book is very good. Toward the end, it starts to get convoluted and sinks in rabbit trails and long explanations that could have been condensed or skipped, but before I got to that point, it was full of sad interesting points that should make anyone start asking questions, such as "How the hell did we get to this point of apathy, and let them gain so much control?" Good book

I recommend this book to anyone interested in reading the real history of our aggressive foreign policy. You won't be able to think about the good old USA in the same way. Engdahl exposes the nefarious role we have played in the grand chess game of world domination.

Essential reading from a man whose understanding of current Geopolitics is very in-depth. F. W. Engdahl has explained the background which leads to the current predicament. His on-line talks and articles help expand on many subject matters contained concisely in his published books. For a novice to history or more experienced reader the writing style and well presented information is balanced and focused on very important issues. F. W. Engdahl is an important and knowledgeable author of our time when such researchers are needed most.
