The art of Timothy Lim has been featured on licensed merchandise for companies such as Marvel, Lucasfilm, and Hasbro. Timothy Lim (NINJAINK, LLC) is a freelance illustrator whose work includes licensed art for merchandising, comic book covers, and plush toys. Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, he is a first generation American born to Asian immigrants. In 2011, he gained his doctorate degree in Audiology and found a lucrative career dividing his time between teaching and seeing patients and doing freelance, professional art. He began that same year producing licensed art for We Love Fine, with clients that included Marvel, Lucasfilm, Hasbro, and Valve. Eventually, he expanded his portfolio to include an array of diverse freelance projects: comic book covers for IDW, pinups featured in art books by UDON, and even plush toy designs for Squishable. Currently, he resides between Arkansas and Texas with his wife and their five rabbits.

The illustrations are wonderful, as are the portrayals of President Thump, the real Marlon Bundo Pence, Dr. Bun Carson, McTurtle and the Rhinos, and a host of other political and media characters familiar to those of us who have closely followed the rootin'-tootin' campaign, election, and onset of the 45th presidency of the United States.
On a serious note, the story clearly demonstrates a sense of patriotism, and it's hard to escape realizing the privilege We The People still have in our country to criticize the Washington "swamp" and induce change.
I'm waiting for the sequel. Lord knows, there's enough material!

Great art, funny but generally accurate parody of the 2016 Presidential campaign depicting Donald Trump and Mike Pence as rabbits running against the Rhinos in their own party and the jackasses of the Democrat Party and the media (but I repeat myself). My kids are a little too old for me to read to them any more, so I passed this on to a buddy with two young'uns. I think this book is good for kids but also appeals to adults. Works on both levels.

My new favorite book! The prose is sweet, with humor. The art is excellent, really top notch. Much better than you would ever expect for a children's book. It would be more fitting in a coffee table book.

Thump is a recap of all the fun of the election and the Make America Great Again pieces and slogans, reimagined with animals (primarily bunnies, but there's a newt, and a thrush, and a manatee, and others).

Completely worth it all on its own for adults with a sense of humor, but excellent for Christmas for younger children too!
