I got this deck as a gift (even though I technically bought and paid for it), and didn't know what to expect. I find it to be visually powerful and very beautifully done, and it has become one of my go-to decks in recent months. Of course, we're each drawn to decks that resonate with us as individuals, and this one works for me.
Some reviewers complain that it isn't really a Tarot deck, but that isn't true - or not entirely true. There are 78 cards, with the usual divisions of Major and Minor arcana. The difference is that the names of the Major arcana cards is different (a little or a lot), although the images (and numbers) make them recognizable. The Minor arcana differs from traditional Tarot in two ways: the images are very different from those on most Rider-Waite decks, and the court cards have different titles (Dreamer, Spirit, Lady, Lord instead of Page, Knight, Queen, King).
As should be obvious, there's nothing difficult about translating this deck into traditional Tarot terms. In fact, in the accompanying book, the interpretation of the cards for readings is very similar to more mainstream decks.
On the other hand, the unique images on the cards (particularly the Minor arcana) will either work for you or not. I don't find that the images necessarily go with the meaning of the cards, but rather open up possibilities for expansion and interpretation. That could be a challenge, although I find that the images have their own meaning that enriches the basic understanding of the cards. The interpretation of the images in the book help somewhat, although I prefer to use my imagination.
I wouldn't say this is a good beginners' deck, but for those who want to move off center a little and find new ways to explore Tarot, this deck is a great choice.

Bland color scale, gorgeous imagery, great book, love the box and card stock
I'm not going to review how well they work as tarot cards, I'm a newbie and am barely scratching the surface for reading. This review is about the aesthetics of the deck. I loved the cards I saw in YouTube reviews and that people had posted on Amazon. When I got the deck and flipped through all the cards, the overwhelming impression is a giant pile of gray.There *are* other colors. I've attached 3 favorite cards, which have more colors in them, the Orobouros has a good amount of green, the Master of Secrets looks like a complete bad*ss and the Moon Chariot is pretty and soft. When I saw it the first time, I thought, "Aw, hoverboard wheelchair, she's pushing her grandmother across the sky." Told you, I'm a newbie.I also love the changed names on some cards, and the imagery is overall amazing. Still, they seem monochromatic to me.The card stock is soft and a bit glossy, a good size for shuffling but also a bit slippery. They rifle shuffle well because they bend easily, without creasing.Box is a pull-out with a ribbon, there's a tray inside that holds the deck in two piles. Meaty guidebook - about a page per card, plus spreads and how to use the deck, etc.Is it just me, or does the Lord of Cups card look like Robin (from Batman and Robin) in pjs and bathrobe?4 stars because it's my personal opinion that the cards are a bit too blandly colored to attract the crap out of me.

i think this is an absolutely beautiful deck, i have yet to use it but the artwork is very beautiful. the cards are a little bigger then what i’m used to so it’s a bit harder to shuffle the cards but they’re still very nice. i love how shiny the cards are in i think they’re good quality. the names are pretty different compared to the regular rider waite standard deck so some may consider this more of an oracle rather then a tarot but i like the small changes. i would definitely recommend this.

Unique, beautiful and in depth tarot setThis tarot deck is absolutely beautiful and wonderful! Janet Pedilato put together the most lovely and comprehensive tarot deck. Inspired from dreams, to inspire dreams; the book that accompanies the deck is a treasure trove of inspiration and knowledge to support the use of this unique tarot, it is a very special set. It is also beautifully boxed. I have purchased additional sets to give as gifts. I am practicing psychic medium by profession, and I know my friends who are as well will really appreciate this set as a gift. My daughter and my mom who are not, but are very interested in this sort of thing for their personal use, will each be receiving one for Christmas as well!

Amazing deck
This deck is a piece of art, from the artwork to the packaging, the booklet, the interpretation of the cards, the imagery... I currently find it tough for intuitive readings, but as one gets used to it and with the help of the booklet, one can go deeper into it. Perfect for clarification, for "psychoanalytic" readings based on subconscious thoughts and the realm of dreams, and for shadow work as well. Recommended!Amazing deckKido F
