Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Why?
Sonrisa overlays roads and highways, which is very helpful to railfans and photographers. They also show radio frequencies used by railroads in the area. SPV has neither of these features. However, SPV uses their larger page size to show more detail than the cartoon-like maps in the Sonrisa books. Interchanges, abandoned lines, & short lines are better represented by SPV. Sonrisa’s mileage posts are easier to read.
Serious railfans will want to buy both, plus a topographic map that shows every goat track dirt road. Be aware that some states’ SPV guides are out-of-print, making them hard to find.
