The introduction by Mr. Miller provides enough biography on this Lebanese author to fully appreciate "The Vision". If the first three writings, "Prologue", "On Rebellion & Liberty", and "On Defeat", do not move one, make one think, awe one and/or give one a sense of the depth of what is to follow, one probably won't care for Gibran's writings.

This particular volume, by White Cloud Press, is excellent.

An excellent book to have close by when you are feeling down and are beating yourself up because of your negative thoughts. I will bet that somewhere in these writings, Gibran will express what you are feelings and you will feel better having seen those feelings in print.

Bits of wisdom written in words that need to be reread. Very deep and elusive requiring to be walked away from and then gone back to and pursued the meaning again and again till you see the simplicity of it

Khalil Gilbran, does it again and WOWS me with his insight, so simple is reality, so thin is the veil, everything is within, nothing is external, when the travail is past and has become our crown, we will understand all...

I do not know how this man from such a late date had his visions. His writings are pure gold and make you see the beauty in life without really working hard for it.

Purchased this for a young man who enjoyed the book. He loved it, said it was well written. I've read Gibran for over 30 years. I went on to purchase all the books in this series from Amazon, who delivered fast.

The classic of Gibran, necessary reading for any thinker who has a soul and desires understanding. A small and gentle book that should draw curtains away from selfish minds.
