- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2019Book shipped fast and came in the condition listed. One of my favorite books by the late Carl Sagan although a little dated. Still a good read for anyone who is a fan of Carl Sagan and the search for life among the stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2019replaced a soft back copy I bought in the 60's and managed to lose through several moves, who knows it still may be in one of those storage containers I have but the hard back is well worth the price
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2015Excellent book about the state of the art back when it was written.
It contains Carl Sagan's run-in with a UFO contactee, someone who claims to have close encounters of the friendly kind with ET's. It also has a nice discussion of the controversy over the canals of Mars, and it contains some ancient-astronaut speculations. But Carl Sagan is very cautious about that, unlike Erich von Däniken.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2019It was boring lots of material that seemed pointless I threw it away it was a big waste of time
- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2020good price on an almost impossible-to-find book. good condition, quick delivery. very grateful.

Anybody should think about all this stuff , rather than doing useless and stupid activities in life...
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2017it's an old friend.....

Geoff Ruggeri StevensReviewed in the United Kingdom on April 20, 20185.0 out of 5 stars I was delighted recently to find a second hand hardback of it
I was hugely impressed with this book when it first came out in the 1960s. I was delighted recently to find a second hand hardback of it. It still impresses and inspires me.

Lord SidiousReviewed in the United Kingdom on October 11, 20165.0 out of 5 stars but a great piece of Sagan and co writing
An outdated book yes, but a great piece of Sagan and co writing, plus it looks nice on the bookshelf.
